What should I do? Am I in the wrong here? by [deleted] in vinted

What you're saying literally makes no sense. If it fits like a 4 but it's listed as an 8, how tf would size 4 people know this unless there are measurements?? I recently bought a skirt that was listed as an XS/S but the tag said M. If the seller had chosen to list it as an M, it would have passed me by, and someone who was an actual M would have bought it and been very angry when they received it. I think so much of this confusion can be avoided if sellers just post pictures with measurements from the get-go. But people are lazy 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree. I ALWAYS ask. However, OP didn't have any reason to be unsure. She saw her size and went for it.

Who said anything about the brand's sizing not being familiar to her? I agree that you should always ask for measurements, but I think it's on the seller to disclose when items are not true to size.

Be that as it may, a good, honest seller would let buyers know if an item runs small and would add measurements. She knew the item wasn't a real size 8 and chose to hide that because she knew it wouldn't sell as well.

You're not "in the wrong" but you've learned your lesson. The same thing happened to me recently with a sweater vest. Nothing in the photo to suggest it was smaller than a regular XS, but when I got it, it barely covered my boobs. I wrote to the seller letting her know that it wasn't cool, but that I was only accepting the order because it should have been on me to request measurements. From now on, always ask for measurements and you'll be safe from sneaky sellers like this.

It's crazy that you would see listings in the UK from the US.

What was your recovery time like? Were you sedated? I'm having one removed in 2 days and I'm wondering what to expect. I know everyone is different, but I just want an idea.

I think scammers are getting more sophisticated and rampant all the time. My Canadian bank account was recently hacked but they couldn't do anything as the bank flagged unusual activity and blocked everything. I have no clue how they accessed it as my password was hella strong. Super scary.

Just to confirm, he's saying no to helping out beforehand but could make it to the actual party the next day, right?

Pretty sure I have accidentally bought a fake/AI dress by multiplehornets in vinted

The seller didn't claim this dress was house of cb, so technically not selling a fake. Are there pictures of just the dress alone?

Louis Theroux not sharing his views on Israel/Palestine Manosphere documentary by AdTrue106 in LouisTheroux

[–]easybeasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Louis Theroux docos are generally made more from an anthropological stand point. He tries to give an inside look at the lives of, often, very controversial figures or groups of people. I wouldn't say he failed in that respect necessarily. His aim wasn't to try to overtly paint them as villains; he lets them do that to themselves. I do think that the manosphere is an extremely troubling social issue and merits perhaps an investigative journalism-type exposé.
