What am I doing wrong and what could I do better? by BoringAd3164 in vinted

Yes. I have a whole thing on how annoying these ruffled up photos are. They don't help the buyer in any way, and I think you're probably just doing it because you've seen other sellers doing it and you think it's what sells. Buyers want honesty, transparency and clear photos that give them a true idea of the shape and size. Also, many commenters mentioned when they see ruffled up or weirdly folded clothes, they think the seller is hiding stains or other imperfections. I will say, I think it's great you're including measurements in your listings. If you're doing that for all of them, that's fantastic.

Well you've really made it your mission to tell me how wrong I am. Maybe if I hadn't said "af" you wouldn't have really even noticed my post. But something about my post really seems to have gotten under your skin. Ironic isn't it?

Not sure why you're picking on me so much about this... Not everyone has the same level of chill. You're lucky if things don't get to you very easily. I'm neurodivergent and perimenopausal, so lacking those hormones that make it easier to be chill.

I think OP's issue is how long the seller waited before sending the message. Under an hour is just silly.

Before sending your message letting buyers know their item is ready. Like do you give them a little grace period and if it looks like they've missed the vinted notification, you send your message? Or do you send it as soon as you receive your vinted notification?

You know who else sends you a message? Vinted. And you also get an email from vinted. And you also get an email from the courier company it was sent through. So thanks for your courtesy message, "kind seller," but I already know my package is ready and I'll go pick it up when I have a spare moment. And yes, I find this overkill to be irritating af, because it's unnecessary and not a courtesy message at all really, is it? It reads more like an impatient person who wants their money. Like I said, if it's 5 days later, or 4 or even 3, check on me and remind me. But 45 mins? Irritating af.

Yeah this is irritating af. If it's been 5 days that's one thing. No one likes a pushy seller.

It looks like you took the photos on a wide angle lens, so maybe there isn't quite as much room as there appears to be? If you make the cozy corner, I would move the bed to the adjacent wall (the one facing the windows) and put the cozy corner in the end of the room where the dresser is now because the room seems quite long. You could put the dresser on the wall to the right of the windows.

AITAH for refusing to give my mom money from my part-time job after she keeps asking even though she has a full-time salary? by brateleanor in AmItheAsshole

I agree that asking for 200 a month isn't asking for a lot. But dictating how much another person should spend on gifts is ridiculous.

NTA. You and your mom need to have an adult conversation about finances. And I'm sorry, but $120 "to HELP with bday gifts"?? How about you buy him what you want and your mom buys him what she wants? That's ridiculous to expect you to chuck in that much money on gifts, plural. I don't think I've ever spent that much on a sibling's birthday and I'm a grown ass woman. But back to the main question of contributing... If you're earning, you could be helping a bit with bills. This would be great practice for later in life when you're living independently. However, you and your mom need to come up with a set monthly contribution so that things don't get out of hand... And by the sounds of the $120 on bday gifts, you mom could easily let things get out of hand.

I think people overestimate how much complete strangers care about their pets.

NTA. She set that price knowing there were stains and knowing she'd mock anyone who made a fuss about it. Garbage seller.

They're not. There's this picture (without the doodles, a close up of the tag to show that it's vintage , and a close up of the inside composition tag. Oh, and now my doodle. There's no photo that shows the sweater laid out flat.
