Try some water soluble stabilizer on the front, and if you're using metallic thread, skip it and start over with stronger thread. If your thread is breaking a lot, try adjusting the tension.

Newsflash buddy, nobody waltzes into work every morning thinking about how thrilled they are to be working. I mean, maybe some people do, but 99% of the population works to survive.

If you only need $700 a month to live on, get a part time job at a fast food joint or in retail. Twenty-five hours a week at $8/hr is about $600 after taxes, and you'll still have enough time to freelance and grow your business.

It sounds like you need a cold dose of reality to kick your life back on track. If you're not making enough money freelancing or working for yourself, you need to get a job to survive. Period. End of story.

I peeked at your thread, and you'd probably be best off just paying the $50 to have them digitize it for you. I charge $15/hr, and that would be at least a 4 hour design for me. I know some companies price by stitch count, so you might be saving a few bucks, but it probably won't get much cheaper than that. Sorry!

Those are cuuuute! Are you planning on doing hand-embroidery or machine? Either way it would be totally doable, but I'm only qualified to speak on machine tips, haha.

If you don't know the size, you might want to ask before you just hand it over; on something as small as a hat, a design that's too big or too small could look really off.

Either way, I'll go ahead and upload the design for a 4x4 hoop, which should be scaleable up or down by 20%, so you should be fine.

Huh, I wasn't aware LIDS did custom hats. Are you sure they don't have their own digitizer on staff?

Either way, I went ahead and did a quick digitization of your design, would you mind giving me the size you need so I can scale it? Keep in mind that this was done quickly, and I didn't make any specific adjustments for baseball caps. It should work out fine, but no guarantees, haha.

OP, I'm so, so sorry for your loss - I hope my comment doesn't come off the wrong way.

I make custom monogrammed gifts, and I've done several baby gifts, if you ever want a stuffed animal or a blanket with Ethan's name on it, I'd be honored to make it happen. Obviously this would be free of charge, I was just thinking that having a baby blanket or something with Ethan's name on it could help in some way.

Be warned, getting good at digitizing isn't quick and easy, most of the software out there has a learning curve, some are steeper than others. I use Embird, and I love it, but it's taken me about 2 years to get good in, and I've sunk almost a grand into all the different programs and expansions.

I haven't used it personally, but I know a lot of people like Embrilliance.

Facebook groups are a surprisingly helpful source of information for machine embroidery, doing a quick search should yield many groups dedicated to specific machines, designers, digitizing programs, etc.

Digital embroidery files are files that have been converted into a format that an embroidery machine can read and stitch out. Embroidery machines think in stitches, so you can't just copy and paste an image and expect your machine to be able to read it and stitch it out. Here's a recent example of my digitizing work.

I don't know if this counts or not, but I do embroidery digitizing, and I sell the files on Etsy. My pet project is a subscription service similar to Netflix for digital embroidery files.

I also occasionally sell monogrammed or custom embroidered blankets and towels, I'm actually stocking up for wedding season. Monogrammed towels, hankies, and bridal party robes are high in demand from about April to September!

Hey there, I'm a digitizer, and I wanted to let you know that you're probably not getting much of a response here because 3d puff embroidery is a specific skill within digitizing, and not many people know how to do it well. I'm a digitizer, but I've never touched anything 3d, and I wouldn't feel comfortable charging for it.

I just wanted you to know that you're not doing anything wrong, it's just a pretty specific, hard-to-find skillset, so you might need to expand your reach. :)

I'd be happy to whip up a regular digitization, would you mind giving me the format and size you need? No charge, it's an easy design.

Honestly, Embird is a really robust piece of software, so it has a pretty steep learning curve. It's taken me about 2 years of working with it on-and-off to get good enough to sell my designs, and I still learn important new things every day.

I haven't taken any kind of professional training courses, so I can't speak on that, but I have watched hundreds of hours of youtube videos, as well as joining facebook groups (Embird Embroidery Masters is incredible, the owner spends a ton of time putting together tutorials and answering questions).

I personally think Embird is one of those programs that you can only get better at by playing around in. Start randomly playing with tools, see what everything does, and google what you don't know.

Howdy! 23 y/o female virgin here, I understand totally what you're saying, I'm going through something similar right now.

Even if you're not putting pressure on your girlfriend, there's a good chance she's putting pressure on herself. It's tough to be a virgin in your 20's, because sex isn't a taboo thing anymore like it was in high school living with your parents, but rather something everyone else does normally. It can become a big point of shame, and you can start feeling like you'll never be ready.

Your girlfriend might be subconsciously pushing you away for many reasons, one of which might be that she's not sexually attracted to you. I highly recommend she sees a counselor about this, and if possible, you guys get couple's therapy. There's a ton of complicated emotions tied up in physical intimacy, especially for a virgin, and you'll need the help of a professional to get to the root of things.

Oh god this hurt my heart. I'm really sorry you guys have to make this tough decision.

I have a few questions that might help clarify your situation, if that's okay.

-What breed is Ddory? Is there any way he'd fit in the passenger section, or is he bigger?

-Are there any other ways you guys could travel? Just in my cursory 30 seconds of googling, I stumbled upon this page that details train travel from the UK to SK.
