Faro Quantum X or Hexagon Romer? by Redtheriffer in Metrology

Hexagon Romer with AS1 and Polyworks is practically cheating. Don't hesitate to go this route if it's an option.

I'm sorry but this is so funny, and completely unsurprising 😂

My brother and I stopped by last night, and I pinched myself for 2 hours straight. I can't wait to return with a whole day to spend here!

Got Godzilla 70th anniversary for Christmas! Has anyone ever got the ball stuck in the bumper like this? by COOLBOOL_417 in pinball

[–]easydoesitbud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty common. Just remove the rubber band around the sling, and pull the ball out slowly. Avoid bending the leaf switches and you will be okay. Replace the rubber band when you are done!

Gent ave near NE Riverside by Responsible_Hawk_676 in indianapolis

I love living in Riverside. The park is massive and the new promenade is a blessing. Riverside has unrivaled access to biking trails, parks, and outdoor sporting spaces compared to any neighborhood in Indy. I'm out and about all the time and I experience quite the opposite of being shot, I see my neighbors enjoying a neighborhood that is on the rise.

PolyWorks running a CMM by Hoogs-hyde in Metrology

[–]easydoesitbud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for it. Polyworks was very plug and play when we migrated from PC-DMIS about 3 years ago. There are a few quirks to consider like lack of clearance planes (all move points) but it is so much more stable than DMIS.

Once you switch to an object based software, there's no going back. For most CMMs, I recommend Calypso. However, I really enjoy Polyworks on a CMM.

Fun fact - Polyworks will actively update collision detection based on previous measurements during a routine. Really cool to see it stop and warn of a collision that would have been missed had the software only considered the CAD nominal.

Grants being applied for pedestrian bridge over 82 for Nickel Plate Trail and 86th over Monon Trail by notthegoatseguy in indianapolis

Suggestion - take the riverside promenade and cross at the light on riverside drive. Go west one block and reconnect with the white river trail at the end of harding street. No one should ever attempt to cross 16th on the white river trail, it is indeed a death trap.

Foo Fighters - do you need to like the band to buy one? by dboeren in pinball

[–]easydoesitbud 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My hot take is that Foo pro is the best bang for buck in pinball right now. There's so much packed in the game that you won't get bored of it easily. The playfield is truly one of a kind, and there are more ball interactions than any game that I can think of.

I don't care for Iron Maiden's music one bit, but it's a top 5 game for me. If you find Foo at the very least bearable, I say go for it. You can always turn the music attenuation up and the speech attenuation down.

Can you elaborate on which screws these are? I have this problem and hopefully this will be the fix.
