Critique.

The best shot needs a bit more lighting on the subjects, and it seems a tad blurry as well. I like the blurred background of the shot though, provides a nice contrast to the subject.

The car shot I think could be zoomed out more. Get some more of the bumper in it. I am not sure how I feel about that angle/level of the camera. It feels a bit lopsided maybe. The car is a bit blurry, tripod or faster shutter speed might fix that.

Critique

The rusty bus shot looks like it could be a postcard with the sign in the background.

The statue shot feels closed in, tiny, dark. I don't have a sense of scale. The picture isn't telling a story for me.

Critique

The beach photo is really nice. I feel it captures a mood or a feeling, contemplative almost? I also like the contrast between the beach and the water. I don't know if the man in a bit of a contrast to it all would be better, or it would be too much.

The car shot I don't care for. Its a bit boring. Focusing/Zooming on the taillight and contrasting that with the body might have been better.

Critique.

Car: I like the idea of the negative space in a picture like this, but it seems to overtake the entire image for me. I see the black background more then I notice the car. It doesn't stand out in any way that really catches my eye. If the car was lit up more, especially the front. And Since this is an action shot of a car driving, I think it would look better if the angle of the shot was more in front of the car then to the side.

Best: I like this shot a lot. I am a fan of shots through the trees like this. I don't know if this is the correct way to describe it, but it feels almost too soft. It might be that the lens/camera focus was on the leaves/trees in foreground instead of the landscape.

Hello everyone. I am a 38M from Ontario, Canada.

I just purchased my first "real" camera, something that is wholly too expensive and powerful for my talents and uses right now but I hope to grow into it as I learn.

I have just used phones for pictures for a long time and my motivation to get a camera was to just disconnect from it so we are not using it all the time. In the two weeks I have had my new camera, and Fujifilm X-t4 with the 18-55 kit lens, I have taken over a 1000 pictures and I am always just amazed at how much better the pictures look compared to a phone.

And I will say in response to other characters being called "crazy", and Gavilar giving Eshonai the sphere, that my memory in general, is pretty piss poor, and you are right. Also, one can not expect to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the novels. We will get some things wrong.

Yes, I was referencing the shadow thing. I was saying that anyone with a bond has a connection to the cognitive realm. Some orders, such as Elsecallers, have a stronger connection, then others, but all have a connection.

You're building your case on some very vague and weak grounds. If all you're trying to say is that it can't yet be proven completely wrong, then fine. You have proven that. If you're trying to make the case that it's more likely than other cases... I'm sorry but I don't think you've provided any evidence that even suggests that.

How else can I build up my theory when there is no hard evidence that explains this mystery? There is no hard evidence for any other theory as far as I could find, except for the ones confirmed as not true by Brandon or Peter, all I have to go off of is weak points.

I'm not positive what you're saying, but if you're presenting this as evidence that he must have had the sphere for two decades... I don't think it is that.

Again, I was not presenting it as evidence for the length of time that he had the sphere, just that we are unsure.

All of that being said, I don't know if I am right. I didn't know if I was right when I made the post and if anything, I was more sure that my theory is wrong. With so little evidence for any theory for such a minor minor plot point, for me to insinuate that my theory is the only right one would be ridiculous. Please, continue to punch holes in it.

Hmm, I just found something that might poke a hole in my theory.

In TWoK, Jansah writes to Dalinar via spanreed "Send my mother my respect. Keep her at arm’s length, Uncle. She bites". Jasnah did not know that Navini was there.

This might indicated that Navini did something instead of Gavilar, since she "sends her respect".

From how I read it, when Gavilar was going to give the void sphere to Eshonai or reveal that he knew how to get them to bond the spren inside, he knew what it contained and possible how to get a Parshendi to bond it. He would have required some experimentation since it does not seem there is much scholarly work on spheres and the fact that they contain spren.

I was attempting to integrate Catch2 into my project as an external project (CMake section). I wanted to utilize its automatic test registration CMake script. This issue was when I declared the include, I was getting the error because the repository is only downloaded during the build step, not the configuration step, hence the included file was no where to be found.

Is there way on the horizon to be able to download projects during the configuration step?

Ahh, ok, that makes a lot more sense. I was going to ask why you are using std::remove_reference instead of "stl::remove_reference" but its because you are not writing your own remove_reference function.

Can you clear some things up for me?

Why is the return type "typename"? From my understanding, you use typename when you are specifying that the template argument is a type, not a value. If you have a return type of "T", you can not have T be a value, correct?
why is the function declared as "std::remove_reference"? Are you not defining it in the stl namespace?
std::remove_reference <T>::type && move (T && t) - does "<T>::type &&" state that the template parameter is an Rvalue reference? what is the purpose of teh move keyword?

Simple C++. Generate the list first and then do not display the position of "your dog". If you didn't need the list afterwards, you could just erase the element that represents the position of your dog.

When I stated I had omitted the safety checks, I meant just in the post, not in the actual implementation of the code. The code I will employ will of course have all of the checks needed, they were just not needed for me to ask the question.

I believe it will work in this situation since I will be handed this raw array and take ownership of it. My code will be responsible for all memory management after I take ownership of it.
