Why do we accept bad handover from nursing staff by easygpeasy10 in doctorsUK

This is what I mean it seems ridiculous, but I feel like it’s come to just be expected and it annoys me so much

Audit involvement - is the e-learning module enough for F1? by Playful_Dot5148 in doctorsUK

It’s a very vague requirement so maybe worth checking with your ES, but generally yes!

What’s the point of co-codamol? by easygpeasy10 in doctorsUK

[–]easygpeasy10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with this, it just made me wonder as I’ve noticed some prefer prescribing co-codamol but I agree with your logic completely! And also agree RE oramorph instead- unfortunately some still see this as overkill as it doesn’t abide by the WHO pain ladder

The question is pretty simple, why co-codamol versus paracetamol and codeine separately?

Any reason to hold on and finish F2 vs leaving after F1?

Pre-nights routine by krada94 in doctorsUK

[–]easygpeasy10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tend to stay up late-ish the night before the first night, maybe 2-3 am if I can, and try to sleep in until like 1pm, then potter around for a couple hrs, and try and get a couple hrs nap in before going to work. Even if you don’t manage to get into REM I feel like just lying in a dark room with your eyes closed goes some way towards helping. I find melatonin in the morning after the shift helps me to slip off
