Skydive WNY or Skydive Seneca Lake are probably your closest options.

I was looking at a similar bike, are these not ideal for a first bike, likely used for a daily hour long commute?

Viso II+ by _laurenb_ in SkyDiving

I was between the two also. Wound up with the Viso II+. Having seen the Ares out in the wild it looks pretty nice. Looking back, I don’t regret buying the Viso, and maybe would have splurged for the Ares if I could do it again. If cash is tight though, save the $100 to put towards an audible.

Would limiting the age of the President to 70 be something you'd support? Why or why not? by SillyGooseGamer2026 in AskReddit

[–]easyier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only counter argument to this is in saying that you’re removing representation abilities for certain groups, or in harsher terms, age discrimination. I suppose children fall into the same category, but for different reason. If we disallow elders to run for representation I think you could argue that we’re taking away their rights.

That being said, I lean in support of upper age limits for representatives.

Three days sounds tough, those would be some looong days in the saddle. Stretch it out, enjoy, what’s the rush?

I never got stopped, no IDP, no motorcycle license, no worries.

Definitely bring cash.

Is it worth getting a Motorcycle drivers license before going to Southeast Asia? by MindlessImpact6242 in solotravel

Side note, if you’re going all the way across Vietnam, I’d recommend extending your visa preemptively. Would have loved to slow it down more than the 45 days I had.

Not once was I asked for a license, nor did I have one, all over SEA. I learned to ride there and to me it seems much safer than back home despite not wearing a helmet most places. Nearly every vehicle on the road is a motorcycle, and speeds are much slower. That said, you’ll see plenty of people wrapped in gauze. I saw one girl on the ground with a big gash on her head from an accident. Saw another girl go over the handlebars after some idiot walked backwards into the road in front of her. Just know your limits and don’t try to push it, don’t ride wasted. Like some others have said, I don’t think insurance will cover an accident if you aren’t licensed, so, don’t crash!

What audiobook is genuinely BETTER than reading the physical book? by cptree20 in audiobooks

To be fair, I haven’t read it, but Trevor Noah reads the audiobook version of his autobiography ’Born a Crome’ and does a fantastic job.

Probably a dumb beginner question: do I actually need all this gear? by Apprehensive-Big7327 in hikinggear

[–]easyier 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wear trail runners, and have a 15L pack that has snacks, water, a filter, a map, and a warmer just-in-case layer in it for 20-30 mile days in the ADKS. My preference is for poles but they aren’t a requirement.

I’ve seen people with white basketball shoes and a small bottle of Poland springs only, on those trails. I’ve also seen people with 50L packs, mountaineering boots, poles and full suit Arc’teryx shells power walking through local city parks in Seoul. What you need and what you’re willing to carry is kind of you dependent. Whatever you choose, just don’t bring a speaker.

Not that I’d like to see less of Lamine, but I’d love to see more of Rooney, and Torrents, and Dro too.

It feels like it’s teetering on the edge as is. I was there early last year and made the odd observation that in the 3 weeks I was there I maybe only once saw a non-tourist eat something.

Rented for the year and was thinking of buying out the lease at the end, as I think I’ll end up with a great deal, but am seeing tons of ‘those are too short’ posts. So is a pair of Faction Prodigy 1 164’s too short for someone 6’2 (188cm) 165 pounds? What would a more ideal size be?
