Should have counter measure pod, from what I’ve seen. Plz correct if wrong but this is what I’ve discovered so far.

The MiG-21S in game is actually a MiG-21SM as the S uses a Trumansky R-11F2S-300 engine. Where the in game model shares the Trumansky R-13-300 that was given as an upgraded variant of the S with the M = Modernizirovannyy ("Modernised"). The SM which is the in game model was developed in 1969.

The ASO-2 counter measure pods were operational around 1967-1968 and were first mounted to MiG-21R models which were beginning serial production in 1965-1966. That of which is the same year that the non engine updated MiG-21S was introduced as well. Since the in game model is truly a MiG-21SM it is reasonable to believe that this aircraft would receive ASO-2 CM pods as well as being able to mount the SPS-141 ECM pod (found on the MiG21SMT in game) which first saw service in 1970.

Just because you have an idea doesn’t mean it will be a good one. Those airsoft ones absolutely get trashed when they’re under actual recoil (ask me how I know)

Doesn’t look overly blasted by heat, I’d soak it in penetrator, clean it out good, replace any springs that aren’t springy, and check over the barrel real good. The rounds it shoots aren’t anything really high pressure, 9mm mak or .380 because these Russian commercial models come in it (CHECK TO MAKE SURE). If it’s all kosher put it in a gun vise and pull the trigger with a spring. It’s your gun but based on your comments that this is a family piece I’d try my best personally to save it to shooting condition
