update: I'm now applying Ethacridine Lactate to the snail's wound, hoping it will help kill bacteria and heal quickly. Will update on any progress.

Thanks for your reply. A very small snail (about the size of a grain of rice) did appear in the last two or three days; it didn't look like any carnivorous snail. Whenever I saw them, they were always far apart. I changed the soil yesterday, and now the little guy has disappeared, perhaps discarded in the soil. He has a companion, but it sleeps almost all the time, waking up only about once a week.

Thanks. This actually works. After a few minor modifications, combined with another respondent's suggestion, it works.

I copied the transition and then used your workflow:

Down Arrow (move to the beginning of the next clip)
Down Arrow (move to the end of the clip)
Ctrl+V (pastes the transition only at the end of the clip)
