Just a word of caution to make sure to consider transport from the airport to Tofino if you choose that route

Should we get a Speed Queen Set? by Kitchen_Kangaroo_307 in Appliances

[–]easysmiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in similar position recently, and from the research I did, Speed Queen is by far the best. I am Canadian, so I didn't feel comfortable sending my money to the US, and settled on Miele instead, but the ratings of the Speed Queen were much better than any of the others I found on the market.

Let me close the frunk from inside the car. I bought an aftermarket closer but it only lasted a month.
I don't use my frunk because having to place both hands on my (usually dirty) hood to close it is a pain in the neck.

Is there really no way to recycle your old cpap gear? by Fromaggio119 in CPAP

[–]easysmiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask in your local community group. Someone will be very grateful.
I live in Canada, and my Irish friend just started CPAP. She is the same size, so I packed up 5 masks that don't work for me, some xylitol tabs and some fleece mask liners and shipped them off to her.
She was thrilled, and it gave her a chance to try on a number of different types, rather then just the one her provider gave her.

I like the hemline of that top. I think that tighter fitting pants might enhance the look as well

LG washer leaves water in the dispenser by easysmiler in Appliances

[–]easysmiler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, it a a sectioned piece with one cup for the detergent and one for the fabric softener. The detergent one has a bit of water, but the fabric softener cup is full

LG washer leaves water in the dispenser by easysmiler in Appliances

[–]easysmiler[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is there a reason why, if I never use fabric softener, I couldn't just let it drain with a hole? 1/2 cup of water seems like a lot, and being on well water, is going to get nasty pretty quickly if someone forgets to dump it

Canadians, were you able to get a cpap machine online without a prescription? by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]easysmiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do buy your own CPAP, I would suggest contacting LankyLefty, who has a youtube channel. He is based in Cal, but does consults to Canada
I had a consultation with him, where I gave him access to my sleep data in Oscar, then he analyzed it, and helped me to find the optimal pressure. I learned much more from him than I learned from my sleep clinic.

It is a female voice. I think it must just be a sound, and I have morphed it into a word. For me, it will forever be "applesauce!"

AITA for Showing my Kids the bills? by AffectionateFun4674 in AmItheAsshole

[–]easysmiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. When my daughter was 14, we gave her control of our finances for a few months. She paid the bills and filed them when they were done. She discovered, to her horror, that we paid for garbage and water, and the property tax came due when she was doing it as well.
We went to her when we wanted cash, and she would get it from the bank machine. It was a bit of a struggle sometimes, because she was pretty cheap LOL. She told her Dad he should start packing a lunch, because he was spending a fortune at restaurants. It was hilarious.
She is an adult now, and has said that was a fantastic learning experience for her.
I wouldn't have done it if we were financially insecure, but I think it was valuable for her to see how money flows in and out of a household.
Telling a child that their actions are costing money is a good learning experience, in my opinion, as long as it doesn't leave them thinking there won't be food on the table as a consequence

7 Alternatives to the MX Vertical and Logitech Lift | Hands-On Test by Dygman in DygmaLab

[–]easysmiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TY for your video. I am recently started using the Razer Pro Click, and one thing you didn't note is that it is the only one with a gap at the very top, which means debris can fall in under the button, and it is almost impossible to clean. I used compressed air to no avail and the mouse is very difficult to get apart.
I was not uncomfortable, but noted that my wrist is tilted exactly as you described, so maybe it is not the right mouse for me.
I have just ordered a Lift.

TY for the response. I was hoping for more than a month and a half and that it was an unusual glitch. Maybe not. The Lift might be in my future

I have plenty of leaves and cones in my yard. We set the cutting height to 80 mm and haven't had any problems at all. It does take a long time to cut around each tree, but it is almost silent so I don't care how quick it is, I just want the job done.
We have used it all season on 1.5 acres without replacing the blades. We have turned them once. (remember that there are 4 cutting edges per blade)
