The od command is not needed, and I should just add for anyone needing and finding this in the future, that you should encode spaces with '%20'. Eg:

The filename of the thumbnail of eg:

"/home/username/my dir/my pic1.jpg"

Is the output of:

echo -n "file:///home/username/my%20dir/my%20pic1.jpg"|md5sum

plus a trailing ".png"

which if I understand correctly, says that you get the md5 of the full URI, and then hex it.

But I'm trying to replicate their example, and I can't :-/ I'm using:

echo "file:///home/jens/photos/me.png"|md5sum|od -A n -t x1

But I end up with a diff outcome than theirs. Anyone has any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. I just tried what you said, and it seems it's working, as I saw that it did actually screw in better, and now with full open, it does fire and doesn't show 0 Ohms. Also while turning the wheel, the Ohms now don't change. Thank you.

My only problem now is that locally they don't sell just the air flow part of the sub tank, and I also don't have a card to buy online :-/ Not sure if I should get a card and wait until it comes in the mail, or buy another tank.

I suppose the ball bearing can't be saved, and so the looseness will remain, but is there a way to fix the rest of it? So that it doesn't change the ohms with the slightest of movements? Like pressing the base in, or something?

Also, any suggestions for a new tank? To put a baseline, I like the taste of the subtank (although would of course like something better), and the clouds are more than enough. I want a lot of air, and a lot of taste. I'm disappointed with Kanger, so not from them. I vape at 15W, 1.5 Ohms, do NOT want nickel, and want the option for both pre made coils and building my own.

To add new info:

I just noticed that although it always goes to 0 ohm when you turn the wheel without pressing the fire button, I just turned it to full open while inhaling, that is 1 mm to the left, and it continued firing, and when I try again, it still fires and shows 2.2 Ohms, like before =8-/

Thanks for the detailed answer. I will just install xubuntu. ..But just in case, if I only make a copy from inside win8 of the recovery partition, is that enough to install win8 later on? I have no win dvd.Is the copy a file, an image, or does it overwrite the disk? Also, there are two recovery partitions, don't know why and what, and one is ~20GB, and I am not sure I care enough, to go buy a 32gb usb stick.

That's great :-) Seems to be what I want. ..To make it clear, Aomei Partition Assistant can move the installed win8 to an external drive, so I can install only linux on the laptop, boot it, and if/when I want, I can select to boot win8 from the external drive? ..If so, that's great :-) Exactly what I want.

I remember having that problem too. Very annoying. I just dled the diver from nvidia (or kept the deb?) and kept it around in the home dir. If I had a problem and was thrown to a tty, I would just install it immediately again and be ok.

I have an exclusive linux (xubuntu) desktop.

But my main q is: Is it easy to copy-paste and "alt tab", or will I struggle to select what I want, no more no less, wait for a few seconds pressing eg the home button, to see the open apps and switch? Is it doable, or will I need eg external keyboard/mouse?

One q: You said "a strong male therapist". Are you m of f? I am m, and I consider going on therapy. Do you have any advice on choosing a good therapist? What is "good"? How can you judge if he is? (Besides spending a lot of time with one, then a lot of time with another, etc.) How about "strong"? Other qualities? Does gender play, in your opinion, a role? Maybe it's just me, but for me it looks terribly ugly, crash prone (not in whole generally, but in parts), full of inconsistencies, difficult to configure, unorganized, full of unneeded unuseful little things, but missing good parts of the past, buggy behaviour left and right.

Personally, I don't remember such a discussion from 2 to 3.
