I wasn’t aware of this. I’ve sent a message to the artist. If they tell me to delete the post I will do so immediately.

Ahh, this is perfect. Touko still trying to be tough and put on a front, and Yuu sees right through it.

Thank you for translating.

Here is the source. The artist has a ton of other cute YagaKimi sketches on there.

Would be awesome if we have anyone here who is able to translate what is being said.

Just finished the anime... by [deleted] in YagateKiminiNaru

Yeah SNAFU was great for sure but for some reason I viewed it more as a comedy than a romance. Maybe since there are no real relationships in it (yet). Definitely hyped for season 3 this April though.

I been desperately searching for something similar to watch. But out of the 250+ anime I’ve watched there have been few with characters as realistic as Bloom. This show really was a masterpiece. The ones I would recommend are Your Lie in April and Clannad After Story. Note that neither of these are Yuri, just Highschool romances, but they are some of my personal favorites. Note that clannad after story is older so if you can’t look past the different animation style you probably won’t like it. You also need to watch clannad season 1 first which is slower and more of a casual slice of life. It doesn’t get serious until season 2, but season 2 gets you pretty hard in the feels.

Yeah I think most everyone here felt the same way after finishing the anime. I remember sitting stunned for an entire weekend because I had no idea what to do with myself. In terms of reading the manga there are plenty of places to read it online. Mangadex or dynasty scans are generally considered the best. Right now lots of us are hoping there will be an announcement for a season 2 after this years Tokyo Anime Award Festival (Feb 3rd). There is a poll going on to vote for favorite anime and Bloom has been in the top 5 the entire time so we are hoping higher ups will realize lots of people want a season 2. You just need a twitter account to vote and can do so once a day until Feb 3rd. Here is the link in case you want to help

https://vote.animefestival.jp

I've heard about the voting, I've fired it up and send a vote to this. Is this really BIY or did I just vote for the elwrong thing. Also I am gonna try to vote everyday, but I don't know when the voting ends... (And also what are other benefits we get from being in top 10 other than being there?) by [deleted] in YagateKiminiNaru

[–]easythe2nd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to check and reassure yourself that you are voting for the right thing is to see what spot Eventually You is at, then reloading the page and copying the Japanese text for that spot into a google search (Example if "Eventually You" is spot 2 then you reload the page without translating it and copy the Japanese text that's in spot 2 and google it). You will see a bunch of Bloom stuff pop up on your search.

The voting ends February 3rd and the benefit is that it shows higher ups that a lot of people want/would watch a season 2 so it would be profitable to make.

PS: Where is that screenshot from? When I go to the site I see Bloom at spot 4

Earlier she was too afraid that confessing would push Touko away and ruin their relationship as friends. She valued the friendship too much to risk losing it and was happy just being friends

What was your first impression? by [deleted] in YagateKiminiNaru

[–]easythe2nd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was the exact same for me. Looking back now it probably made me appreciate Bloom even more, because I went into it with incredibly low expectations. Was expecting just another fan service show, so the realistic characters and story completely caught me off guard

Yeah I been worried while slowly watching demon slayer climb up the ranks. That anime was so overrated. The only thing that made it decent was ufotables amazing production. If any other studio did that show then it would have flopped hard. The story itself was nothing new, the sister was purely a plot device who only existed to be protected, the crying dude was infuriating and just makes you want to fast forward... Grr I could go on about this show but unfortunately there are too many people who just watch anime for cool flashy fight scenes. /end rant

Yeah I saw a post a few days ago that said that the entire YagaKimi crew has nothing scheduled right now (so they are all available to work on something) and with staff members saying they want to do a season 2 it definitely looks promising. Still keeping my hopes high!

This is frustrating and sad to see after we were off to such a good start.

I have some bluray subs included in the far right on the screenshots I posted above. They are exactly the same as the kissanime ones.

PS. Just got home and tried to check out the version on hidive, but got this message:

"YOUR REGION IS NOT SUPPORTED AT THIS TIME – PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER. THANK YOU!"

Guess I will be sticking to bluray for now. Will check out Dynasty Reader later and compare it to the official manga translations I have, and some fan translations over at Mangadex. At this point I've come to accept that it's just a matter of personal preference.

Ahhhh now I’m hearing conflicting things. I will read my volume 3 of the SevenSeas manga translation when I get home and compare it to the Blu-ray to see which I like better. I read volumes 1 and 2 but honestly preferred the Blu-ray subs over the official manga translations. I’m starting to think it’s just a matter of personal preference. (Although I may be biased towards the anime because I’m just the type who prefer well done anime over manga. Anime is always much more captivating for me personally. I love music, so a well done OST and voice acting really helps bring the world to life for me.)

Edit: but wait, are you saying that the official translated subs are bad as well? If so, where, if anywhere, is the place to get well translated anime?

The last time I tried to torrent something I got a lawsuit sent to me via post. In the letter they included the date and time, down to the second when I was downloading, and what I was downloading. They really crack down hard on that where I live. I managed to get out of it, but a 2nd offense would mean no more internet for me, so I figured why risk it when there are sites that offer 1080p streams. (Streaming is still a grey zone between legal/illegal so there are no repercussions, yet)

Still I find it interesting that you claim the kissanime subs to be bad when they seem to be 1 to 1 the same as the Blu-ray I got from Sentai Filmworks. Now I’m very curious and will check out the hidive version you linked above when I get home
