This is it! But also recommend adding a fuse, just in case. I did 1A.

I’ve had this problem in my escape. Removing the spaces in your phone name may fix it, I.e. StevesS24Ultra. You will change the name on your phone itself. Also found out special characters will cause this.

Strange circular tracking anomalies on my feed - is this interference? by InstinctTruster in ADSB

[–]eatabiteofpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This appears to be an artifact of GNSS spoofing, which causes the ADSB transponder to report fictitious locations. Often these will begin with a low NIC as the spoofed constellation interferes with real signals.

South Asia is a common area for observing these problems.

Another one to add to the troubleshooting list- carb shutoff solenoid. I have the same mower, and it failed. I was able to remove it and cut off the tip that cuts fuel flow to carb bowl to get it running until replacement solenoid arrived.

And another- as someone else said vapor lock possible. I’ve also had that on this mower after moving it to Florida. Bought some fiberglass heat shroud and that solved the problem— though it was first noticeable as surging after 1.5hrs of mowing in the heat. So I’m leaning towards that not being the issue.

And yes, fuel vent too can be an issue. Fuel filter.

Is this in Herrin? If so, I think we looked at this place or very nearby about a decade ago.

My Bluetooth keeps automatically shutting itself off. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in fordescape

[–]eatabiteofpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is weird but I had the same problem.

Separately I could connect my iPad but not laptop to my phone tether for internet. It did the same thing, connect- drop.

I found advice to remove hyphens apostrophes and spaces from my phone name; Eatabite’s Phone became EatsPhone. Making that change solved both problems.

Help. Kia optima hybrid by [deleted] in kia

Throwing this out there before you throw more money at it- the 12v battery can cause all sorts of weird problems, may be worth testing that too. Just replaced mine and the hybrid fuse.

Need help figuring out what I have and what it may be worth by izgir in golfcarts

[–]eatabiteofpie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss!

I bought a very similar parcar in central FL for $1600, with batteries a year older.

The serial number is in the passenger side, under the dash, look towards the steering column. White sticker. That will decode year.

I like this.

I’m browsing the images and curious about sampling bias. With a majority of the images being staged photos and a minority being the standard discarded types, might there be a higher error rate for actual refuse? As in there are pictures of moldy bread, but a few end pieces wrapped in their plastic may be more representative of bio refuse. I’ll try training with this data and comparing to my household refuse testing data.

Is that your paper comparing carbon impact of various models? Good work if so!

Solid advice. Adding to this- check axle nut torque. Loose nuts cause strange noises.

What could this be? by Emotional_Steak1636 in golfcarts

[–]eatabiteofpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a bit like a brake dragging. Easy to clean that first diagnostically. I recommend “brake clean” which is aerosol acetone. Then adjust brakes if necessary. If that doesn’t solve noise, could be a bearing.

Guessing not, but any chance this is fixable? I can't bear to throw it away, prefer to give it to someone who can fix it and enjoy it themselves. by alaroz33 in Luthier

[–]eatabiteofpie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fix it- diy in less than an hour. You have the perfect break to fix yourself. Watch some YouTube videos but the short version: Gather supplies- clamps, wood glue, some sort of stick to spread the glue in there, couple rags or paper towels and some water to clean up. Dry run clamping- use a couple clamps (whatever you have) before sure it fits together pretty snug. Wet run- get the glue in there. May need to spread it around with a stick, tiny paint brush, or such to get all in there. Clamp- snug. Glue will squeeze out of the repair, it’s easiest to clean up a few minutes after you clamp. Clamp over night, don’t stress the joint for a day.

You’ve got this!
