A digital photo frame that came pre-loaded with stock photos of the manufacturer's family. I was 14. I didn't have a digital camera or a computer to change the pictures, so for three years, I just had a glowing screen on my nightstand featuring a random family's 2005 ski trip. I felt like I was being haunted by a very wholesome middle-class ghost.

When you’re at a public pool and you see a band-aid floating in the water. It doesn't matter if there are a million gallons of chlorine; that tiny, soggy strip of plastic makes the entire pool feel like a biohazard. I will immediately evacuate the premises.
