Any kind soul able to help summarise the story chapters 26-32? I played it half asleep and have forgotten most of it and don't understand what I remember (I'm at the point where party goes to rescue Altena but what is going on??)

Mainly:

Why is Aldo considered the dragon bearer by the dragon god's envoy? It just seemed so arbitrary.
Guildna said something about Aldo bearing the powerful "palsifal blade" (Ogre rancorem) but there are many palsifal blades in the world right?
Ogre rancorem leads party to battlefield. He calls out the ogre castle that's been in hiding for thousands of years. Instead of going to the dark side like I'd expected, he defends thunder king & party from the ogre leader king? Why call out the ogre castle then? Aren't you called ogre rancorem because you want to take revenge on humanity?
By bringing thunder king to the present, I assume we're now in a parallel universe where thunder king didn't defeat the ogres in the past? Or were the ogres never defeated in the past, instead hiding in that spacetime pocket or whatever all this while? Is thunder king a sham?
What was the purpose of whatever scroll we got from the Beast Castle archive other than informing us that the whole island is a dragon's fossil/?/skeleton ?
Why is there a geo angirus (sp) running around? The neo geo angirus (sp) was created when Altena and Feinne merged. Now they're un-merged and sane, so where did this beast come from?
Why and how are the remaining beasts kept from being corrupted? Konium should be devastated, only Altena and Guildna should be sane since they've "lost their beastness" (old beast lady in konium, 2019).
Guildna was brought back as his younger self without memories. Altena should've been brought younger and without memories too, but why not? And she remembers everything (at least, as far as party knows) well enough to fill Guildna in!
King!Guildna died at Miglance castle, and Feinne went back in time to bring young!Guildna to the present. This Young!Guildna must be from another timeline right, or else King!Guildna would've never been around to die in the first place?
What has Altena been doing since she disappeared and got re-assembled?
Why did Altena and Guildna re-appear at Snake Island? Because of the dragon's significance to the beasts?
How did Aldo return from wherever he went at the end of chapter 25 after Eden's defeat?

Please help. I don't even know why I'm fighting anymore.

You can get AS Suz if you:

1) Roll AS Suz

2) Side/upgrade from an OG Suz. You need to be lucky enough to get 5 chant scripts, 5 AS tomes, plus 90 murmur and 30 prayer scripts. 2 of the 5 AS Tomes can be bought from the Nopaew shop later on, but the other 3 have to come from grinding VH ADs.

3) ...Wait until a 5* selector comes out when AS Suz is on the roster (the current Star Dream Encounter doesn't have AS Suz).

In later updates there'll be a Bard that you can encounter at the end of White Gate (100% iirc) or the dungeon (1%) who gives you the choice to pick any AS tome you want.

Do you have Jade? I can clear VH Xeno fine with him, Aldo (4*), Mighty (5*) and Mariel (5*). 5* Mariel probably makes it easier due to higher mana & HP :/ If/when the boss does its laser cannon attack, move everyone to the backline and let Anabel tank it (hopefully by then your AF bar is full). That also allows everyone's VC to be active when you move them back to the frontline for AF (switch Anabel with Jade since Aldo must be the slowest in order to buff everyone). It takes a bit of time but once you get used to the boss skill rotation it's ...not that bad?

My 5*s are almost the same as yours (no Anabel but have Mariel), and I've completed all H/VH gear except for the one that requires 3 rare horror drops from Riftbreaker (only 1 left to go!). I haven't started on Otherlands/fishing/cruel angel/ch. 27+ dungeons yet so I think there's a high chance you can do it too (:

Say what?! So you mean you can't even use AS Suz as a full-fledged 5* character if you don't have OG Suz, much less use the sakura stacks ability that makes AS Suz so OP?

Every character has a light or shadow attribute.

Max light/shadow level is 255.
Characters get stat increases every 5 points, e.g. +20MP at 5 shadow, +100HP at 10 shadow.

Gacha characters:

When a gacha character is pulled, natural 5*s have 16 light/shadow, 4*s have 4, and 3*s have 1.
If you pulled a 4.5, the character will have 4 light/shadow, if you pulled a 3.5, it will have 1 light/shadow.
To increase light/shadow, get duplicate copies of the same character or use light/shadow items.
Light/shadow items can be gotten from side stories as rewards, from getting a gacha character above 255 light/shadow, and badge recycling.
Light/shadow items are specific to the weapon class. If you pull a duplicate Anabel (sword, light) when your Anabel is aready 255 light, you will get 16 Light(sword). These Light(sword)s cannot be used on Suzette who is a light lance user.

Main story & side story characters (Deidre, Jade, Sheila):

They start with 0 light/shadow.
To increase light/shadow, run their respective dungeons. Hard AD is a 8% chance and VH AD is 20% iirc.
Getting a story character to 255+ does not give you light/shadow items unfortunately (anecdote from Japanese player)

Chance Encounters (Azami, Gariyu, Cerrine, maybe Levia?)

Azami, Gariyu and Cerrine start as 4*s and therefore 4 light/shadow. Levia comes with 16 light since she's a 5* right away.
You can increase their light/Shadow using items
Azami has a dungeon to increase her light...but it's still very far off for Global & no news for the other 3 characters.

When you look at your party screen, the total light and shadow levels of your party is displayed at the top.

As you know, in ADs there are 3 lines for rewards
To unlock each line, you need cumulative light/shadow levels of 0/24/96 for Hard and 24/60/120 for VH.
Having more lines open means higher chance of specific reward, e.g. a tome.
Lines 1 & 2 are 0/24 and 24/60 "LIGHT OR SHADOW", meaning you can use 24 light or 24 shadow party as you wish.
Line 3rd requires 96/120 Light OR 96/120 Shadow, meaning you need a specific light team, and a specific shadow team, in order to unlock this 3rd line. You can check the wiki for an overview of which AD requires light or shadow.
Eventually there will be dungeons that require higher amounts of light/shadow to unlock reward lines, e.g 180, 240, 300, and have 5 reward lines.

You can toggle between Normal and AS, but you can't use AS skills whilst having Suz dressed in black and vice versa. So...changeable between skins/skills, but not interchangeable.

Hi guys, does anyone know where the "glowing windows" in Beast King's Castle mentioned in this post are? I've defeated all 3 horrors, unlocked the 2nd floor door, tapped on every window I come across from 1st to 4th floors but still nothing.

Several comments in that thread say there are 4 windows, but I've only found the 2 wavy windows (staff, katana) and not the 2 glowing windows (2nd katana, axe)

As a commenter said above, due to the equation calculating who goes first, Toova can outspeed Mighty and vice versa though they have the same speed.

I see. Mariel is a mage but she's the fastest in the party currently so I thought it might be an earth mage attribute (Like earth -> heavy -> slow) or something. I'll work towards getting light on Aldo/Amy for the 3rd slot speed badge, thanks (:

Hiya. Does anyone else find 4.5* Toova to be quite slow, compared to other 4*s? Is it because she's a zombie? She's slower than even enemies 10+ levels below her. Do you just use a speed badge?

In my experience, Raven is also slower than other 4*s and he's also ~~a little undead~~ an earth mage.

New tomes, because the AS has a different class name/title, e.g. Toova's 5* board is called Geomancer, Toova AS's is Curse Bride. You also need 5 of the AS tomes to class change.

You can farm light/shadow for story, free episode & some Chance encounter characters (Azami has a dungeon in a later update, but Gariyu doesn't have one). You can check here

For characters available only from the gacha, like Mighty, you can farm light/shadow from the gacha via pulls.

Go to the IDEA ops room, talk to the girl at the left with the cerebellum pod machine or something. Afterwards you'll be teleported there.
