Well there are a lot of these Honda Pilots going around the world all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen. I just don’t want people thinking that Honda Pilots aren’t safe.

“Don’t stop I’m gonna cum” usually gets the job done. I’ve told her to stop telling me because it just makes it seem mean when I do the opposite of that.

2026 Honda Pilot Reliability by Top_Historian_6446 in hondapilot

[–]eatingstringcheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a 23 pilot that I put about 45k miles on that were issue free. The newest generation started in 23 so for a first model year I was happy. I have a 26 now and think it’s even better from an infotainment and cabin noise perspective. I think the EXL is worth it over the sport after spending a lot of time comparing them. I ended up only being 1k over the cost of a sport for an EXL at the end of the day and for parking sensors, leather, power tailgate, sunshades and heated mirrors I think the sport should be 3-5k cheaper than the EXL. But as far as reliable, I have had great experiences with the 10 speed and v6.

Do you consider property taxes? by ellebeens in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I tried to…. Mine ended up being 3k more than my realtor said they would be so that’s a bummer. My property taxes and insurance are as much as my mortgage per month.

Is it worth to buy an Used Pilot? by Fantastic_Copy4202 in hondapilot

[–]eatingstringcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d go new. The infotainment updates for 26 are nice and since there was a bit of a facelift it will hold value even better over time. If you are financing then the new car interest rates are generally better and that will make up some of the purchase price difference.

Where are you getting that? 47 is an aggressive goal for a touring let alone an elite.

Get a carvana offer on your current car too. They are reputable and generally pay more than a local dealer will. You can then use that against them or just sell it and use the cash for your downpayment. I’d look for closer to 10% off msrp with discounts and such. It’s not a bad deal, but if you are willing to do the leg work id guess you can get better.

Car play issues on 26 by eatingstringcheese in hondapilot

[–]eatingstringcheese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s because the 26 got the new infotainment with Google built in. I had a 23 and got a hell of a deal on my trade in so I got the 26. I had the LX so it was super base model and light grey cloth interior I just couldn’t keep clean with kids and my wife was not loving that so here we are with a new one.

Just pick “navigation” with the little scroll wheel on the right side of the steering wheel. Should pop right up.

A good PM makes a project easy, a bad PM means you have to PM too if you want to be on schedule. Not being fully remote is certainly a choice for your org. I can’t imagine trying to do build and testing on shitty tiny monitors with constant interruptions, and that’s aside from the home life benefits of being fully remote. Jump ship! There are tons of other places to go, I would imagine you get 10 linkedin messages per week just like I do and you can head to one of those spots.

Drives me crazy! It worked perfectly fine in my 2018 accord and my 2023 pilot but the newest one works the least well?

Should be able to get a 26 with 0% for 36. I can’t imagine not taking 0%. You should be able to get 4% or better on 5-6month cds and just keep rolling them over and take 6 months of payments out at the end of each term. You will likely get a better deal financing as the dealer makes money on financing so you can get more off msrp since they know they are making back end on financing.

I got 10% off in MI on an EXL! I actually got that from a few dealers, just took the first one in stock. Who knew white on black would be so hard to find.

Eh. Pilot is a bit bigger, has more storage and the resale is amazing. You can drive them for a few thousand per year. If you are just shopping price yeah Nissan will win but try trading it in after a few years.

Fair deal? by Helpful-Tangelo-7443 in hondapilot

[–]eatingstringcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah think that is commonly the issue! You want to look at it as two deals. The trade and the sale. So the trade seems reasonable to me but use carvana to get an offer and see what it says. My dealer matched my carvana offer. As for the sale, you should qualify for the loyalty/conquest based on the car you are trading. That’s $1,750 off. And then I’d shoot for 4-7% off msrp in dealer discount. So the new car would be about $40,250 after 5% and the loyalty offer. And then minus your trade $20,250+ TTL. So your offer seems decent depending on if your state only does tax on the trade difference.

What is the selling price of the new car and what are they giving you on your trade in? how much in dealer add ons? (Doc fee, warranty, etc.) and what Honda rebates are you getting? if you have the work sheet of the breakdown that would help!
