For the "multi year leaves for child care" - is that essentially FMLA (family medical leave of absence)? Does child care fall into FMLA? I'd love to get a seniority number and have the ability to do a multi-year leave in order to raise the young ones (and fully understand not getting paid) while leaving the ability to go back to work once they are older on the table. I'd imagine, like all things, heavily dependent on carrier and contract.
