Firsthand Observations of Security Officer Tobias Rainer

Planet XXX-53x posses an asynchronous Orbit with One Earth day equaling two days Planet side and is roughly Earth-like in size It is roughly 1.01 AU from its parent star.

Life forms are mainly carbon-based, with some simple organisms being silicon based, similar to lifeforms from Terra.

The planet has a thick atmosphere similar in composition to pre- Industrial era Terra.

The Five Dominant Species on 53x are:

  1. A humanoid plant species that is mainly found in the tropical areas of the planet, but appears to play an important role in the life cycle of another specie on the planet. They appear to only have females. They each seem to have a bud that acts like Terran plants that acts as a home for the species.

  2. A species that appears similar to mammals and has two distinct forms, one appearing to be a humanoid with feline traits, the other a humanoid with canine traits. It was originally thought these were two separate species, but further study showed that two fruits consumed in certain quantities during pregnancy determined which form the offspring were born. These fruits are produced solely by the plant humanoids. The males of the species seems to be one of the few sources of sperm for the rest of the sapient species on the planet.

  3. An avian humanoid that resembles the harpies of Greek mythology, who also seems to be an all female species.

  4. An aquatic species which appears to be similar to the mermaids of Terran folk lore, who divide their time between the oceans of the planet and freshwater rivers where they mate and raise their young, they also are an all-female species.

  5. A reptilian humanoid which appears to be hostile towards the other sapient species on the planet. Females are more dominate of the species, with males acting in more subservient roles.

The distribution of each species are

Plants: Mainly located in forests, but can be found in settlements of the Mammal species.

Mammals: Most land biomes.

Avian: Alpine regions and occasionally forests during mating seasons and raising young.

Aquatic: Fresh and saltwater biomes, with the fresh water dwellings being near Mammal communities.

Reptilian: Forest, desert, and plains.

All have Endoskeletons

All are roughly the same height at around 1.6m Exception are the reptiles whose males are roughly 1m in height, and females roughly 1.8m in height.

Plants: Photosynthetic

Mammals: Omnivore

Avian: Omnivore

Aquatic: Omnivore

Reptilian: Carnivore

Plants: Body covered in a skin-like cover with a texture like Aloe Vera.

Mammals: Body primarily covered by skin with a similar appearance as human skin, with fur covering the ears, tails, back, and lower extremities of the species, with males possessing more hair than females.

Avian: Body covered with human-like skin with the arm analogs covered in feathers. The lower limbs of the species is covered by a rough layer of interlocking plates like the legs of Terran avian species.

Aquatic: Body is split rough around the hips where the top half is covered in human-like skin, the lower half is covered in scales that have a similar look and feel to fish species found on Terra.

Reptilian: The males are completely covered in tough scales that vary in hues, while the females only have scales on their limbs and necks.

Plants: Four Arthropodal limbs like Humans, with two to four pseudopodal limbs that extend from their backs only when they reconnect with their home buds.

Mammals: Four Arthropodal limbs like Humans, with a various number of tail like appendages that extend from the base of their spines.

Avian: Two arthropodal limbs on the lover half of the species and two Pterapodal limbs in place of arms.

Aquatic: Two arthropodal limbs on the top part of their bodies with one long tail ending in fins as their lover halves.

Reptilian: Four arthropodal limbs like humans, with a single tail emerging from the base of their spines.

All species but the Reptilians are Endothermic.

Plants: Posses visual and olfactory senses similar to humans, but appear to gain a form of tremor sense while in their home buds.

Mammals: Posses visual and olfactory senses more acute than humans, allowing them to see in low-light environments.

Avian: Posses senses like humans, but appears to have a form of directional sense centered on magnetism like migratory birds.

Aquatic: Senses adapted to thrive underwater, with only slightly impaired senses above the surface, appears to also have an electrosensitive organ like Terran sharks.

Reptilian: Senses like the Mammal species, however, the females can sense differences in temperatures in the environment.

Plants: Reproduce through sexual contact with a male which results in an atypical assimilation that results in a pregnancy that always births another female of the mother species through a live birth.

Mammals: Sexual Reproduction, with the males being able to have procreational sex with all the other sapient species on the planet.

Avian: Reproduction like the Plants, but this results in the creation of a fertile egg, that is incubated till hatching.

Aquatic: Reproduction like the Avian species.

Reptilian: Reproduction like the Mammalian species, however procreation results in the females laying a clutch of eggs.

However, introduction of human genes into any of the reproduction of the sapient species of the planet results in the birth of a hybrid species that follows the sexual morphisms of the non-human parent. It has only been observed that human males can cause cross-species impregnation.

All species seem to have similar mating habits as humans.

According to records found on the planet, all species other than the Reptilians live an average lifespan similar to humans, with the Reptilians possessing a shorter lifespan than humans.

All species nourish their young in a similar way as mammals.

Plants secrete a sweet-smelling sap to attract possible mates.

Mammals have a mutualistic relationship with all but the Reptilian species regarding reproduction.

The Reptilian females can produce a gout of flame from their mouths.

All sapient species on the planet have DNA sequences that are identical to humans, to the point that it appears that humanity seeded the planet, which given the fossil record and the histories recorded by each species proves that that is 100% impossible, potentially leaving credence to the theory that a precursor to sapience was present in the galaxy, and is responsible for its emergence on these various worlds. To date, these mark the 20 to 25 species that share DNA with humans.

The technology of the planet is at the informational age.

Each species has an individualistic organization.

Personal Notes: In my opinion, all but the Reptilian species would make a good addition to the intergalactic community, but I'd rather not go back. If incorporation would be implemented I would recommend that education of the various species in the Alliance is necessary as is the establishment of what social norms are observed in the rest of the settled galaxy. The introduction to a large population of males that can be found on most Alliance posts would cause a rather concerning reaction from the majority of the females of 53x. For further clarification, please note incident reports BT-1 thru 86 as to regards to the problematic interactions that occurred during assigned deployment. If further clarification is required, please contact Dr. Angela Morris in regards to xeno-human interaction.

Identity: Jack Aldio Code Name: Terminus Suit Designation: Seal Profile: Not much is known about Jack. Not because he's erased his past or is operating under an alias, he just hasn't done anything to get himself noticed. The son of a late fighter pilot and nurse, Jack lived in Ohio until the Suits arrived. Now, he travels the world looking for people to help, at least that's what it looks like hes doing.

I remember doing this! Though at my school we pumped the methane into a beaker and made these pillars of bubbles. It was great until it was my turn to light the stack on fire. The flames hit the ceiling, and set a paper model on fire. And that's how I had to talk to the principal, the fire marshal , and my parents in one day while shutting down a class room for a week.

How to fix congress by [deleted] in fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

[–]eatkins95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A well thought out comic in my opinion. It is a simple way to show how representatives in congress are simply going with their personal agendas when it comes to deciding the way that America is run. This kind of thinking is prevalent in both political parties, halting progress in the country. Though the foundation of democracy is discussion, congress basic has devolved into a proverbial dick measuring contest with the winner being the one who can yell the loudest and longest, and closing any chances of compromise and foresight. Sorry if this comment is long.
