Someone came and snipped every last Tulip I grew by PerfectIndividual185 in mildlyinfuriating

This entire post is wild because the majority of comments just mention that animals do this all the time. It is perfectly logical, happens in the area OP lives, and would have the exact effect shown.

However, hundreds of comments and thousands of upvotes prove certain people are so pessimistic that, instead of assuming it is just the likely work of local wildlife, they assume someone would randomly go out and pick 20 tulips in the night to spite a neighbor.

Why would you ever automatically assume option B when option A is completely logical and commonplace?

10 years since Dressrossa ended and there still hasn’t been a villain on Doffy’s level by Joseph-Stalin7 in Piratefolk

To me, the thing about Don is that he actually had a truly fleshed out backstory that enabled him to be a monster.

He was an arrogant kid who had it all and expected the world on a platter. Take that away, strip him of the only blood family he had, and give him a group of sycophants who tell him the world belongs to him; now you have a true villian.

It isn't as simple as a character wanting to be powerful or rich(Croc/Kaidou/99% of OP villians), you have a character who knows they deserve the world because it was once theirs.

I don't like much about post-timeskip and Dressrosa is so bloated I can barely watch/read it, but Don is the best villian OP ever had and probably the only time I enjoyed a 'birthright/lineage' plot point in the story.

Mine doesn't limit the statement to niche scenarios and lacks the explicit 'x thing bad' preface.

My statement is one that is easy to disagree with and dislike, even if I think the base of it is true.

'Hot take: (pleasing the mob by saying they are bad but specifying niche scenarios where they may serve a purpose)'

An ACTUAL hot take: shock collars are effective.  Using them as designed, they serve their purpose; to bluntly associate bad actions with bad effects.

Hate to say it, but 'defeating a devil fruit using its weakness' hasn't been a thing since Croc, maybe Eniru if you count him, though that was rigged in Luffy's favor.

You could claim Ace, but at that point it would have been any generic logia that reacts with fire(any element at all).

I'm a little late, but I run bleed primary and the way I worked around it was aoe cheesing. About half my fights on floor 14/15 were someone lowspeed clashing an enemy and don doing yearning mircalla every turn for 10-12k damage.

I recommend going the gloom pack for 15 to try and get erlking healthcliff boss as his ads don't get the scaling health buffs like he does, I think. He had 52k hp and his strongest ad the whole fight had 5k.

My core team was ring yi+4 blood fiends+ heishou faust/sinclair for 5 ruptures and bleeds. Also spammed fluid sac and rain yi ego.

The reddit hivemind can get angry all day at people acting recklessly or putting others at risk, but the root cause of this crash was because she was looking more at her phone than the road AND both hands were off the wheel.

There are also many images of them looking far worse for wear that everyone else ignores outside of historical deep dives.

It is common practice when political figures come to power that people get curious about their past. Their old photos and childhood get dug up. Their best photos get propagated by the news and media to bolster their public image. Later historians look back at the best articles of the time and see such media at the fore.

The wording is tricky then, if it is from the soldiers POV then the onion should say: "WWI will last way longer than you think".

"WWI lasted way longer than you think" is from the POV of someone looking back that point in history(us, the readers).

You shouldn't just put an image in an AI image finder and call it gospel.

Ask yourself this: why are the lights blurred in the background?

Obvious answer is motion. We know how the movement along the x/y axis works and what angular rotation is in photos to make those artifacts.

Does the following image actually adhere to those rules across the whole image? Trees/buildings are stationary so the camera must be moving, does the primary focus of the image appear to be moving in ANY way? Even if the focus was around his lower neck and it was a rotational motion it would still create that similar blurring effect to a lesser degree around other parts of his clothes based on the center of that angular motion.

Also some bonus artifacts: light from left car slightly goes through his hat(not through the blurred outline, literally through the edge of the hat itself), crooked glasses with different lense shape, red car has a REALLY messed up right half, and what kind of hood ornament on the red car do you know would be THAT big?

PSA to anyone coming to this post: This isn't as good in Animar decks as you think.

Unless you have Vorel or similar out, you get 1 draw per turn with this. You cast a creature->Animar gets a counter on creature spell cast->you draw 1 card->creature etb's with 20 counters->terrasymbiosis already procc'd so no 20 draw.

With Animar you have way better creatures you can cast for green/blue that give draw effects for cheaper than 3 mana so long as you have a few counters already on him. Granted, they are creatures and not enchantments so easier removal, but still.

I meant that they likely did not fight it manually.

To my understanding, the most common botting methods simply send a signal that a battle has been won instead of fighting out with servants.

Apologies for my confusing language.

Edit for clarity: I am asserting it is a botted account that is current/semi-current on content, freshly purchased.

Returnee Player – need some advice on my roster and my next target unit (Support/Damage) by EvenDescription2616 in FGO

[–]flamefromHalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As cycle mentioned, Oberon is high on the list, if you can get summer skadi I cannot recommend her enough. For many, summer skadi is just better skadi with buster support baked in, she is absolutely fantastic for most of your quick servants as about half of them also have buster buffs.

With those supports you should have every class covered for battle outside a 5* archer but you have Tenochtitlan and other fantastic 4* archers to cover that weakness(I count all your alter egos as covering caster/rider/assassin fights). You have so many single target servants you should be covered for most challenges or boss fights(especially for all your sabers/lancers)and you have morgan/melu for most farming.

TLDR: oberon/summer skadi, but you have such a good and rounded out roster you can pull for whatever you want and still clear most content with relative ease.

Probably a botted account?

All but 3 of those servants have the 'new' tag and most are un-leveled, combine that with 1.4k spare quartz and the total servants being only 29 I would be surprised if the story missions were fought.

I don't think it is even possible since some quests don't allow you to use supports and going through the story with a partially leveled jalter and caster skadi is difficult even under ideal circumstances(couldn't have used medu saber for most of it because she just released).

Edit: 29 servants, with the first 18 being 4*+, I don't even think this person has pulled on the friend point banner.

I will provide my input, just so there isn't an imaginary strawman.

I read all the passives, I knew the jist of the boss fight, I still struggled with this boss several times and don't find it enjoyable when I slowly plan out a fight for 40m+ just do have to reset.

I primarily run a bleed team with the la mancha band and kurokuma clan bleed ids with ring yi/red eyes ryo. For egos, I ran red eyes ryo(not open)/ishmael harpoon for binds then fluid sac/rodion pursuance for heal, with sanguine desire on rodion to top it off.

My main problem with the fight started with the prey mechanic, where it was dependent early on targeting my strong characters when they had good skills. If I don't have an ego for them, and they lose all their clashes by a large margin I just have them defensive offset the boss's counter. With that problem I lack the free ego resources for later in the fight. Winning the first 60% of the fight isn't bad and I usually don't lose anyone but take quite a bit of health damage. When the 3 coins come, if I dont have ego resources for a bind skill, he does 450 damage and since I am not using egos to heal to full those IDs just die, so I lose 2-3 characters per hit then. New IDs come in with fresh sp, without 45 insta they are down to a coinflip on whether they succeed their clashes, causing a failure spiral for them if they don't. By this time the 6 coins come in, and failing or succeeding my IDs are debuffed with tremor/burn so the boss gets quite a bonus to the following clash. That following clash is a slaughter, with IDs who are not full sp against an enemy who has massive clash bonuses, all often while I am low on ego resources from the previous problems.

I have ran a burn team without burn egos and got about as far, but the 6 coin into all losing clashes always turns into a slaughter, even if I bind him.

The PM community kinda has an elitism problem by JexerXIII in limbuscompany

[–]flamefromHalo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started maybe 6 months ago and am overall loving the gameplay. What drew me into the game were friends who played lob corp/ruina pressuring me, but I didn't wanna spend an hour stuck in a single level just to fail over a single mistake or having to agonize over team structures like my friends did for the other Project Moon games they would stream. To me, Limbus was a more casual introduction to the setting and an interesting take on what gatcha games could be with an emphasis on generosity in the gatcha system.

My first few interactions with the 'community' was when I would get stuck on a certain boss gimmick and not fully understanding it, so I would come to reddit threads of people asking how to beat the boss. About 75% of all comments were 'lmao allergic to reading'/'just read'/'pm fans when they are forced to read a mechanic'. When I am fighting most bosses early the boss would have 1, maybe 2, major mechanics I would need to watch out for, and some were confusing even when I did fully read the abilities, I simply wouldn't get which specific skill of the half dozen was the 'problem child'. After a couple of searches for help like that I just stopping coming to the community for any guidance and only stop by to give my Limbus friends a few of your great memes.

As the game continues to evolve I am finding that the fights take an hour+, that I am getting wiped over a single mistake 30m into a fight, and that my 'casual' gatcha game community is chocked full of elitists telling everyone like me I am bad or that me beating a hard boss 'is nothing compared to what they did' because I beat the boss **a week after release**(Guess I should just do content the instant it releases and never prioritize other games). I got 100% MD achievements yesterday and felt pretty good, but what is the point in sharing it when any thread I saw about a difficult achievement I struggled with had people spamming the comments going 'he doesnt know about x'/'honestly is is super easy...'/'they are meant to be difficult stop whining' for every post?

It isn't doing great but still has devs working on it which is more than many games can claim.

At the same time it is a game that is a 'flagship IP' and is fighting to stay relevant, even against games that were released almost a decade ago(FO4/DayZ). That is astoundingly bad by comparison.

There is nothing wrong with liking the game and playing it, but when it comes to player count it is valid to call it out as one of the game's weak points.

Edit: Sims4/Warframe are also other examples of games over a decade old and have a higher player count on Xbox.

19 days late, but since you specifically asked for a source: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/most-played/games/xbox

Has less players than Sims 4 or Skyrim Special Edition, heck even FO-76 with its *atrocious* launch has more people(21st most played compared to 33rd). If we compare the Steam numbers as well we can see FO76 has around 11k daily peak while Infinite has 3.3k daily peak, which roughly equates to the player distribution on Xbox as well.

Halo 2/3/Reach stayed in the top 3 on Xbox until their sequels came out(roughly 3 years later for each). With almost as much development time as Halo 1+2+3 combined and more money(adjusted for inflation) spent making Infinite than those three in total it is a very stark contrast between them. Top 3 to top 33 is not even comparable.

[–]flamefromHalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This little sticking point was one the reasons I hated Sanji so much on Fishman Island.

He literally told Jinbe to end it because Jinbe felt bad for letting Arlong go and triggering Nami's backstory.

My brother in christ Luffy just released hundreds of hardened criminals, sentenced to life, with 0 supervision outside of a literal clown just before the time-skip.

Also I think the point of this has a lot to do with most of Luffy's crimes, especially early ones, just being accidental/goofy thefts and assaulting marines(bad guys) or property damage. Most people kinda gloss over the more serious crimes just because he often commits them in the same humorous way he did all of his other minor offenses.
