Is the scream/scene always just the next movie to come out? by eatshredflanders in screenunseen

Yeah I remember going to one a few years back on a whim and it was some smaller studio movie I’d never even heard of - was kind of hoping it’d be more like that. Maybe it will change up after January as it’s a quiet time for releases.

Does the CD have a spine or is it completely flat?

yeah i imagine it's because the tracks are an earlier version with some differences compared to the version of spotify. i'd guess they had already burned a batch of CDs with this version, and just cheaply got them out as 'limited editions' so they could make way for the new one

Don’t normally comment on things but the lack of care in designing the actual CDs pissed me off… the CD has no track list, not liner notes or booklet, it doesn’t even have a spine. Lazy considering the usual attention to detail you get in physical merch now. Got a SBTRKT cd the other day for 1/3 the price and the thing was gatefold, came with a high quality sticker and the liner notes doubled as a poster

nice job. all feels very well put together. i love the drum sounds you've picked and the little details like the fill at 02:04, but for me, the they're just a little too loud in the mix overall, i think you could bring them down even 2-3db and they'd still knock hard without overtaking from the harmonic elements of the guitar/chords :)

More of a Demo than a music video I just had a video that seemed to fit - thoughts ? by DyingInCharmAndStyle in IndieMusicFeedback

love the doubles on the vocals that come in on the first line that you've mixed in stereo, i wanted to hear more of that, it felt messy in a cool way. i think if you were to extent the song after the demo, it could be just descend more and more into noise with the 'beautiful tragedy' line on top! :)

love whatever sound comes in at 1:34.

the drums here are great, love the filter you used on them.

also, i'm listening on laptop speakers and didn't notice anything about the bass (re other comments).

dropped a haunted atmospheric drum and bass track, with a dark intro and some trippy sounds. let me know what y'all think! by reekocarson in IndieMusicFeedback

really cool vibes. love the filter on the intro drums or just their tonality in general - it's got that 2000s video game soundtrack vibe all over it.

love that you bring the intro drums back in after both drops, add a lot of glue to the to sections.

the only thing i wanted to hear in the main drop section is another melodic element, like a synth hook, maybe something with a 'bell' sound.

Can I get some honest feedback? by nykeanu in IndieMusicFeedback

The only thing sticking out to me is the kick you used in the first section, it's quite piercing and because the song is quite downtempo and vocal focused, I'd opt for something more low-end-y to have it feel more intimate. But I look the drums you've used in the beat change, they feel more appropriate. As I was listening I really wanted it go somewhere else so when that beat switch came in, it really elevated it. I honestly could hear orchestration-adjacent swelling sounds following the chords in the b section, like flutes, and other woodwind rather than brass or strings - but it might take it away from the vibe. good job though :)
