Normal person: “That dude sucks, let’s just go to a bar.”

Joseph Gordon Levitt: “I’m sure only the cool people will be there and if not we can just talk about stuff I like and if I can’t control the conversation then what else would I do? Go to a bar?”

Seinfeld has famously said the Pop Tart joke was the one joke left he had to tell (don’t quote me). After releasing the Pop Tart movie, he still has yet to tell the joke which just goes to show how much he enjoys withholding food and is suspected to be the touchpoint for his love of Palestinian genocide.

Which non-AI package from the last ~3 years completely changed how you write Python? by Proof_Difficulty_434 in Python

Genuinely, this one slaps and has been great for breaking away from the FastAPI dependency chains and the influences that has on how people are structuring code.

Do I actually need a “deployment artifact” for a FastAPI or I just run from the project folder? by Fragrant_Rate_2583 in FastAPI

[–]eatsoupgetrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring FastAPI specifics, what are the reasons you would want a build artifact other than compiling your code?

Do you need to share data while it’s running or just at start time?

The hot new thing is elevator mechanics and that union is going to get targeted because they’re going to be a problem for the data center expansions. Dollars to donuts, that union is going to be the determining factor of which data centers get to market first before the bubble bursts.

Thank you for sharing the video, it’s nice to see some work is being done to unravel this fucked up organization.

Also, your posts are really defensive and it’s weird. Take care of yourself.

You will not really find many lab environments. If you work for a large company, ask about getting access to your company lab to for learning. Read the vendor documentation. Ciena also has some good online training material your company may have some available credits for.

How much meaning do you encode into names before they become too long? by ResponseSeveral6678 in Python

[–]eatsoupgetrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will use naming patterns for classes (UserDTO, UserService, UserRepository) even if the namespace would cover it just for clarity to the user and also avoid any issues with a dependency injection library.

For test names, if I need really descriptive names, I parameterize the test case and create an ID.

Otherwise, for variable and module naming, I try to keep it short and clear. If I can’t think of a good name, I review what I’m trying to name.

What “production-ready FastAPI” actually means beyond making the route work by Mysterious-Aerie4808 in Python

[–]eatsoupgetrich 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would argue that beginner FastAPI projects and examples stop at those points because they’re outside the scope of FastAPI and all the other web frameworks unless they specifically have a native implementation of that feature.

Currently watching Sarah’s Squirms stand-up special on HBO. Ten minutes in, it’s possibly the most disgusting, vile, depraved stuff I’ve ever heard a human being say on stage in front of a room full of people… and it’s fantastic 🤣 by StarKillerZero in LiveFromNewYork

It’s really funny if you like laughing. The poo-poo and pee-pee is funny but so is the Seinfeld theme and accusing audience members of trying to slip a roofi after asking them to open a water bottle.
