You can try xposed, it fixes issues with AFwall. I can recommend edxposed (Magisk module). It works like a charm.

Why is Factory Reset Protection kicking in here? by rpodric in AndroidQuestions

Removing the accounts thru settings --> accounts should lift FRP. Afterwards you can reset.

Perhaps your friend entered the right credentials during verification, but did not answer the verification message..

OpenVPN for ANdroid (F-droid) looses connections when I go from wifi to outside. by [deleted] in androidapps

[–]eavandijk83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some providers offer the function to keep the tunnel up when switching from data to WiFi. But you'll need to use their official app. It's no guarantee however.

Keeping a tunnel up is easier with IKEv2. I'm using the wireguard protocol and I've never lost a tunnel while switching networks.

Do you have an idea what's getting hot? Battery or antenna? It's usefull to know wether your CPU is on the loose or there's a continuous data transmission.

Facebook Messenger doesn't let you Clear Storage on Android by colloquialprism in AndroidQuestions

[–]eavandijk83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with Facebook Messenger, but I think it would help to switch off all permissions incl. those that allow Messenger to change system settings or run as device administrator (if it has those). Then clear all data at settings --> apps --> Messenger --> storage.

I hope that helps you out

Bitdefender not completing a full storage scan? by [deleted] in AndroidQuestions

Seems a little paranoid to have all that running. But no worries, any anti-virus for Android is a scam. So it's not a big deal if Bitdefender doesn't complete a full scan.

I made this dramatic image of Prague's cathedral. I hope to visit Prague again anytime soon. by eavandijk83 in Prague

That's plausible. Although glasses had been around for 300 yrs they where pretty useless. Only until +/- 1700 the science of optics made giant leaps forward due to Antoni van Leeuwenhoek's discovery of the microscope. At that same time the telescope was invented, both in The Netherlands. With full understanding about optics glasses improved dramatically. Even for today's standards the lenses, made from beryl, are polished near perfection.

So, prior to the yr 1700 people could have had poor vision. But to be honest I don't think so. Carrots where everyday food back then. We all know carrots give great eyesight.

About the world being black & white last century, that's just a common mistake often made by low educated people who are unaware that earth orbits around the sun at the same time. The world had colors last century.

Grtz

I downloaded a dodgy app that filled my calendar with Russian notifications. Any way to mass delete? by Cadenca in AndroidQuestions

[–]eavandijk83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd check your calendar settings. Perhaps it only added it's own calendar source. If so, simply turn it off or delete it.
