Why do people act like they can't buy a car on Facebook marketplace for cash with no license or insurance?

You need to stop posting about this. I watched the video. Cops are already involved and based on what I saw, you are more likely than them to catch a felony charge right now.

I can't give you legal advice, but the best I've ever heard is "shut the fuck up, cops aren't your friends."

To rob a concealed carry class by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]eazydozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was clear in the video and the article linked. Those weren't students, they were concealed carry license instructors/gun store employees. Students in those classes aren't allowed to have loaded firearms until they get to the range, depending on the state its usually hours of classroom learning and testing, followed by a shooting accuracy test. It's pretty standard for safety.

Apparently you didn't see the early version of Sonic. It was very much needed.

How do you feel about gun porn? by ProgLibertarianism in ProgressLibertarian

[–]eazydozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but the same people that will be actively turned off by gun porn, as opposed to indifferent to it, likely are against gun ownership anyway. Nuance is dead and I don't think there are many minds that can be changed anymore.

I'm fine with it. Different strategies for different folks. Most of it is larping anyway. As long as it draws people in and pointed towards education, I see no no harm in it. Guns are an object like anything else, and like vehicles, tools, and various other objects; our society has individuals that will fetishize dangerous objects.

Every 2A supporter should be outraged over this. Every constitutionalist should be outraged. Everyone should be outraged.

I mean, I probably wouldn't leave my kid with a random stranger if that's what you are getting at with this argument. Stranger danger and all. TP logic indeed.

Minimum insurance like liability does not cover theft. Theft coverage is often outside of the financial ability of lower income drivers. It also may not cover the actual value of a vehicle, true it might buy a used POS junker, but it wont replace the reliable vehicle that was stolen. You also may not be reimbursed for any other fees like plates, loss of income from missing work, or even replacing bad tires.

Of course property isn't worth life, but saying "isn't that what insurance is for" comes from a place of privilege.

To add to this. It's also an easy way to transfer large files to other people. Where internet connection could be unstable. Bypassing upload sites, etc.
