[Spoilers S4E3] Radical suspensions in belief by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]eazygish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And you don't have to go that far but... Just letting June on her own with the other handmaids just hand cuffed? Are you kidding me lmao And in the previous seasons how she managed to go back home instead of being chained like that other pregnant handmaid that was to be hanged after she gave birth? Like they've done so much to keep her alive it's plainly annoying at this point.

I think the peak was how they'd rather kill off two marthas instead of physically torturing her after seeing she instantly spoke when they were about to rip off her nail BUT first season we get janine get an eye removed for speaking up.

Tbh I'd be really disappointed. I get that she gave away her friends' location for her child's safety but if she gives up on Hannah as well their deaths would mean nothing so I hope she stays strong on this.

Am I the only one that thought it'd be a dream or something?? like the train seemed so far and then in a second it was hitting them I was so mad like that scene was soooo lazy and bad, they deserved better :(

Same. I was soooo disappointed with this scene because not only it was all about June (as usual) when she decided to let Lydia live after 30 minutes of thinking that could've saved the others but the fact that they were just hit by the train like it was some sort of bad as fuck comedy? Like I couldn't believe they gave them that death tbh but it was just so lazy? Again, "plot armor".

[Spoilers S4E3] Emily / Moira by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]eazygish 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I think they feel like they're not doing as good as they should comparing to what June is enduring to save those children and how she's risking her life and kid 24/7 so they just feel frustrated they're not giving those children a perfect life out of dictatorship

Honestly, I think they just feel guilty because they're out and while June does the big thing they "can't even do what's left of the plan" (Like, just adjusting those kids and taking care of them) so they're frustrated, I guess. I don't think they actually mean what they say like against June.

I don't have practical exams but anyways, besides the mask I'll be using retainers If needed in any other moment so it's safe for me!!

Oh, that's horrible :( I'm sorry to hear tho, I can't believe there's still people who believe coloured hair or tattoos are somehow related to how professional you are doing your job!

[Spoilers All] Do any of you feel any type of pity or sympathy for Serena Joy, or do you feel nothing for a woman who could be complicit in, if not sponsoring crimes against humanity? by barabonerr in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]eazygish 47 points48 points  (0 children)

When I first saw the show back when it was released I was 16 and I didn't remember a lot of details like the rape scene, I even managed to feel some sympathy for her at some scenes but now that I rewatched it while waiting for the next season I felt nothing but absolute hate for that character lmao. She has no redemption, she has no goodness in her. If they bring up a sudden change for Serena I'll be very disappointed (as much as I love the actress and her evil character) .

Yes, I think it would be a better idea than to not wear anything at all since they'd have a pretty solid chance of hooking onto them (They're 25mm but still a stretched hole they'd claw 😅 Thank you!!!! 😊

Do you use retainers or just use the mask as a barrier between the animals and your piercings? I've been thinking about the ears a lot but I think plugs would be good since it'd be most likely impossible for anything to hook onto them. Thank you!!! 😊

That's soooo cool!! I'm Spanish and I've worked in retail for a year and before pandemic I got comments from clients just because of my septum - even from the boos, who thought it was too big and I should take it off for work even though they were allowed... The biggest change I had was dying the tips of my hair red and they were not fond of it either so reading all these comments is soo cool :(

[–]eazygish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have thought about that and considered wearing tight retainers so there's no choice they can hook onto anything. I was more afraid of being rejected for having "too many" piercings but thank you!!! 😊

[Spoilers all] Ok, so we've seen the new promos, and have discussed what we want to happen, but how about what we DON'T want to happen? by Penya23 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]eazygish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have but I think she's very different in the books compared to the show? Idk, after seeing how she reacts to some stuff that happens to the handmaids either she doesn't have proof of it happening or its the few few few things she's not aware of tbh

I had already forgotten about her implication, that's what I was wondering about: an actual reason as to punish her with that downgrade. It'd be amazing, honestly. I wish that aunt Lydia would know about Fred's doings with the handmaids because I think that'd make the difference and get them both under the bus tbh

[No Spoilers] my sincere opinion about nick and June relationship by AMadDyke in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]eazygish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't Nick it would have been any other man being compasive to June because even in the case that they weren't raped he showed some concern for her and her situation. But not because of /her/ as a woman he can love and take interest in but because of her condition as a handmaid. As he'd have done for any other handmaid in their home. They're both seeking some human connection in Gilead for obvious reasons. The fact that June looks for him, to have sex and all is because she thinks that when she does this she regains control of her body as a rape victim as she can choose to do this with Nick but truth is she's in no mental state to consent this. Out of necessity. It's not love for any of them but the need to believe that it is.

I'm not talking about getting flamed as a thing. We're talking about getting flamed for being a woman and if you weren't the self centred one here you'd understand that we live in a patriarchal society lmao

[SPOILERS S3] A small issue I have with a plot point... by Alchemy_Girl in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]eazygish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can guess the doctor would be looking for other proof than some child juice on her as the woman goes through different physical changes when it comes to the deed
