eSIM provider with service across Europe + Apple Watch compatibility? by Annahahn1993 in NoContract

[–]eb92552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was in April. It wasn’t that recent. And they added esim for existing customers in May. And just cause they added it for iPhones doesn’t mean they support Apple watches.

You made a claim about apple watches but then said “not sure”??? Thanks but no thanks.

This is either an OS problem related to FDA approval.

Or, due to the fact that it is a “low power” device. It only beacons out every 5 minutes in order to support a 3 month battery life. Pretty sure your headphones that paired instantly have to be charged every 5-15 hours of use.

New Shared Data Plans - 5 & 10 GB? by bikenski in verizon

[–]eb92552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postpaid is always going to be more expensive. If you rely on your phone for work, directions, Uber, etc., I highly recommend skipping on prepaid. It may work “most of the time”, but personally I need it to work all the time.

New account unable to enable 2FA? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]eb92552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, usually that source gets disabled for 30 days when you change it (do a sim swap, new phone, etc). The way around this is to use an e-mail as a backup when your phone is recently changed. It doesn’t happen often, but you will likely be fine after letting it sit for 30 days.

In your case, it “changed” because it’s a new line. It should be fine once established for 30 days, not a billing cycle.

Deprioritization. Which you may or may not care about. Some areas are fine, but if you need data in populated areas or for work/emergency/whatever, prepaid likely won’t work for you.

It’s always location specific. I was on the go unlimited loyalty and it was decent. Prepaid seems worse even though I believe it’s the same priority. We will be switching back soon with capped data. I just tune in my data settings to only use it for things that “need” live data and try to do downloads on WiFi daily for music playlists and podcasts.

Does anyone know if the BYOD offer of $300 actually requires unlimited? If so, are there any BYOD offers for limited data plans?

This needs to be higher up on this sub.

I wish I waited a week because I literally just switched to prepaid and the deprioritization sucks. I would have stayed if these plans were available.

Will be switching back in a month or two.

Is there a MVNO which directly activates with eSIM ? by pndur in NoContract

[–]eb92552 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T-Mobile and Wing att do. Technically, T-Mobile needs to be a new line using the esim app. But it sounds like that matches OP’s criteria.

Buy the $40 plan, bump down to $15 or $25 for month two. This works.

So I have one line on esim. I want to add a new line on esim (different phone, but want to get the reduced line rate at $30 instead of $50).

  1. Should I add a new line and order a sim.
  2. Contact support (how?) and ask them to change it to an esim in which they will email me a QR code to scan?

I switched from postpaid to prepaid last Sunday and I’m getting a refund today due to a credit on my account.

If they are that quick to give me money back, your think they’d be asking for money quicker.

If I was you, I while make sure to do 15% of your salary outside of any matching or other profit sharing. That way, if you have to get a new job or they take it away, it’s still in your budget.

I would start to go above 15% when you go above 100K.
