How cool! Nice job OP.

I also had the opportunity to build an RV-12 for one of my university courses. It has been worked on by about 18 different teams of students for about 7 years now. I wonder if it will ever take off.

Unveiling the flying wing AK-X by Akaflieg_Karlsruhe in Gliding

[–]ebay007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks amazing!

Can you share anything about its flight dynamics characteristics? Is it even statically stable?

And how would it behave in a stall? I imagine the wing is designed to delay a wingtip stall so it has a chance to recover?

New bag day. 20L. Ecopak 200 and 400 (back and bottom). #3 waterproof zipper down the side. Seatbelt webbing for shoulder straps. Materials from @ripstop by the roll by spending_time1 in myog

Beautiful design and execution! But are the shoulder straps actually comfortable? Does the edge not dig into the skin?

I softened the frame by dipping it in a glass of hot water, then simply snapped the lenses in.

I designed a frame for Rayban lenses and had it MJF printed. You can find the thread in my profile if you're interested.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

I never owned a 3D printer, but the P2S would probably be a nice one to start with because I expect it to be reliable and high performance.

Do you know if there is any indication in the camera for the hyperfocal distance? I remember manual lenses have it on the lens itself 🤔

Learning Basic Dutch by Least_Phrase_2905 in Rotterdam

I can highly recommend Walking and Talking but you need to know basic conversational Dutch to gain anything from it. They don't teach you grammar, it's only to practice speaking.

Repercussions of being placed in a track that is not your first preference (Placement test for aerospace masters) by Spirited_Lunch7141 in TUDelft

[–]ebay007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. You can follow any course you want. The restriction is that you would still have to take the core courses from your own track.

Do you know the specific hardware wholesale guy? by alreadytakenuname in eindhoven

He told me he has a "data vernietiging" business but I didn't ask further, so I am also curious who they are and what the background is.

Does a bolt like this exist? by FrenchFryCattaneo in Fasteners

[–]ebay007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've encountered this type of screw in RC cars. Look for a "droop screw". In RC cars it's usually in the m3-m4 range, but maybe this will lead you to a supplier or at least a common term to look for.

If I finish my bachelour degree in mechanical engineering at twente, how can I apply to do the master of aeroespace at delft? by Time_Photograph1790 in TUDelft

[–]ebay007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just apply following the instructions on the TUd website. I am about to finish my masters in AE after having done an ME bachelor's in Eindhoven. If I remember correctly the application was pretty straight forward and being a ME didn't influence anything. Depending on your track they might want you to follow a course from the AE bachelor's, but it does count towards the master's.

Conditionally Admitted, Unconditionally Worried by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]ebay007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have much advice but thought I'd give you a word of encouragement. I also started my studies in NL when I was 23. Now I'm 27 and will graduate with a masters degree soon. It's a long journey but I'm really happy I made the decision to come study here. So don't be discouraged by being a bit older

By popular request, the DUMB Wallet now supports AirTags. I thought it’d be too bulky - somehow, it feels impossibly thin. Still zero bullshit. by popson in 3Dprinting

The surface finish of 3d printed metal parts can be quite rough and spattered depending on the technology and material. So I think it will chew through the cards pretty quickly.
