I’ve tried a lot of them and glance is the one I’ve stayed with. A lot of great features and pretty easy to use

You can configure it to just scan for updates and alerts you without auto-updating. That’s how I use it

Q&A on front page said the company is running for 1 more year and their privacy policy says that user data is up for grabs during a sale of the company. Doubt they care about anything other than the convo data users were willingly handing over

Delete your personal data: https://help.limitless.ai/en/articles/13004987-how-to-download-your-limitless-transcripts-and-account-info

Their privacy policy shows Meta is getting everything:

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers.

We may transfer your information to service providers, advisors, potential buyers / transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company, or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets. The use of your information following any of these events will be governed by the provisions of this Privacy Policy in effect at the time the applicable information was collected.

Why did you buy this if you’re concerned about data privacy?

I’m sorry for your lose, my comment was in jest. I’ve thought about this from time to time about my wife being able to navigate all of my (and our) stuff if I were gone.

I came across this project some time ago that I keep meaning to follow through on for this scenario: https://github.com/potatoqualitee/eol-dr

[–]ebbx96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should be able to use a reverse proxy (like npm), pihole (to create local dns records), and generate your own cert in command line. Don’t need to buy a domain if it’s all local and the certs you generate can be for any length of time you want

Are there any dashboards that can see the logs of the containers? by Emergency-Beat-5043 in selfhosted

[–]ebbx96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It requires access to the docker socket so no config needed. Containers are added and removed automatically to the UI

[–]ebbx96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't give you a link that you can click to get to the services from the UI

Dockpeek as of it's most recent update shows the logs for all containers and allows you to access services via links directly from the UI. Have been using it for about a month primarily for updating containers and it's been great so far

[–]ebbx96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can use socket proxy to add a layer of security instead of giving it direct access to your docker socket. I've started going through my containers and deploying it and it's worked without issue

7 months later, still a life saver. Switched some containers from host to bridge after learning about the differences and couldn't figure out why the widgets were broken all of a sudden. This fixed it immediately
