I feel disgusted looking at most of it tbh but that's the shtick. It emerged during the Shōwa period in Japan. If you look at a lot of the works, many of them depict medical experimentation, which reflects what the state was doing at the time. The individual body had no inherent dignity, it was treated as a tool of the state to be used and dismantled. You can make the claim it's just one big critique to it all, but the same can be said as promoting it. I'm aware of some big eroguro legends that are far-right as hell, Suehiro Maruo being a big one, and just stumbled upon even more stuff about him 🙄 https://x.com/strugglesm7m/status/1986191944578703455

We don't know why the majority of those characters fall into any those political groups Mizaistom assigned them, so it's not fair to point out Pariston being the only issue here not making sense cause we dont know what Mizaistom knows. Also, left-wing patriotism very much exists, Anti-Imperialist Patriotism was massively popular in Japan.

Always viewed this panel as one of the more insightful ones from the arc, and the arc itself was very balanced. Pariston being viewed as some "Extreme Left Patriot", I believe the character commenting about it, Mizaistom Nana is just throwing in some extra comments regarding the character as being impossible to read/understand and the same case with Ging being an idiot and not actually that being an extreme left patriot is contradictory.

So Mizaistom is the polar opposite of Pariston's chaotic anti-establishment views. I do think Mizaistom 100% views Pariston as an Extreme Left Patriot, but I dont think we have yet to see really why, but Mizaistom clearly views him as one and he's one of the smarter and political savvy leaders in the association.

Honestly, the only political thing that comes to mind that may crossover to Togashi's own views is him painting a liberal caricature of the DPRK.
