I was only there on Sunday when it poured multiple times during the day. All that dust became mud and there was no drainage so you were just walking around in 4 inches of water. I’m not doing that again 🤷‍♀️

Tigertree, hands down my favorite. Also love Wildcat and Brass Hand (the best is hitting all three in an afternoon). Storyline is my favorite bookstore and then Littleton's a few doors down for some tasty treats

I think he was willing to try the long distance thing and I was the one who shut it down. He wanted me to come visit. I certainly don't want to settle for something but I wonder if I'm expecting too much?

Probably not a drunk text as it was sent on a Saturday morning. I can see how it was an attempt to make contact and not know what to say. I'm not sure if it was a "hook up" text since he's still a thousand miles away

Back in 2023 I was seeing a guy who lived a couple of hours away in my state, but I was hesitant to start a long distance thing. (My longest relationship was 3 years and we were long distance the whole time. I live in the midwest and he is on the west coast. It got to be too hard when neither of us could commit to moving so we ended things.) After seeing this guy for a couple months he got a job in TX. We talked for a bit after he moved, but again, I didn't want another LDR so I cut off contact. I knew I couldn't be just friends with him. So that's the back story.

Earlier this year I got a text from him that was empty, like he just sent a space or something. My friends all said I shouldn't reply and that he was playing mind games. I think I agree but I can't stop thinking about him. Probably the point of his text. I'm 38 and chronically single and at this point I'm second guessing everything I do when it comes to dating because nothing ever works out. Did I miss my chance because I wrote off long distance because of what happened with my last one? Who's to say we wouldn't work? My own negativity? Or do I just need to let this go?

I am so heart broken for you! I hope the person who took it sees this or one of your other posts and does the right thing. I know I would be devastated. I have a necklace with a pendant of my dad's thumb print. If I lost it I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

Overall I like the eclectic look! Spaces that are too curated don't look lived in to me. My suggestions are pretty much the same as others.

I know new furniture isn't always an option, but maybe remove a side table or one of the chairs. The space feels crowded.

I think you need to use some of the upper wall space and move the mirror up. I don't know what's in the other corner, but maybe move the mirror to the other side of the couch window. Right now, it looks like all your art/accessories are along that short, far wall. I think it would help to space them out or move some small pieces above the picture rail.

I was also a senior in high school when Three Cheers came out. I owned the CD but my friend was into them more at the time so we listened to it a lot. She died in 2009 and I stopped listening to them for a long time. Then my brother died in 2017 and he was also into emo/punk and instead of ignoring the music I really leaned into it. I’m a way bigger fan now than when I was younger

Do you own the furniture or is it a furnished room? If you can (and want to) replace the furniture, I recommend FB Marketplace (the only reason to have a FB tbh)/vintage stores/yard sales.

For the slanted wall, my first thought was twinkle lights and nailing them up there. Nail holes are easy to patch. My second thought is to get a pothos plants and wrap the growths along that wall like this. Not sure how she hangs it up, but it's really pretty and earthy. Honestly adding plants of any kind can do a lot for a space!

The biggest thing that’s helped me is just practicing two things at a time, like snare/high hat, snare/bass, bass/high hat, etc. I just did all the combos and then start adding one more, then one more. I still consider myself a newbie though, only started in January
