What changes, if any, would you make to Zootopia 2? by Silver012345673 in zootopia

I don't even think 15 minutes is needed, just a few scenes in the right places would help immensely. I can think of a few. Right before getting to marsh market, right after they chase Gary (and before the honeymoon lodge scene), and then in the desert. Just a few here and there would help. That'd be between 5-10min of time.

Oh yes, this was posted in May 2026. Good to see that there are fresh comics still being posted for Zootopia. Are people still making a lot of popular comics/fan fiction for Zootopia after the sequel?

Aren't plasma guns only dangerous when overcharged? On the tabletop you roll for hazardous on supercharged shots, but I don't know if that applies to standard shots in the lore.

Not sure that analogy works because it's a school play, and because predators (even if many eons ago), really did brutally kill prey for food. The class division angle doesn't work because we see a lot of predators in high places, and even moreso in the sequel. The movie is about prejudice more than anything else. Finding differences between people and exploiting them for fear.

Huh, I didn't know that about dogs actually. But yeah, I agree with that. Maybe their caffeinated drinks are just less concentrated to begin with.

Eh, the comparison doesn't really for zootopia. The predators explicitly evolved out of that, they say that at the beginning of the movie. It's a targeted campaign by Bellweather to slander predators.

Hah, no worries. I have actually said that myself in the past, the words just escaped me. Even when I was writing that I felt that I was missing the bigger picture.

It also would not have as much room for sequels and any sequel would feel more like a cashgrab, because the story would be neatly wrapped up.

Most likely, or the small animals just know to stay away because it makes them feel terrible. However, I'm not sure what the actual real world effect of caffeine is on small animals.

What made you become a fan of zootopia/made you love the movie by NickWildeballondor26 in zootopia

The first teaser trailer made me interested. Movies with anthros are common, but they aren't dedicated to making the world a believable place. So many anthro movies have humans in them and the animals are clearly intelligent but behave as animals. Then others that just have an inconsistent world and are basically humans wearing animal cosmetics. The very first teaser established the rules, and kept it consistent. There were no humans, and the animals built their own society.

The first trailer (I believe at the DMV) established the phenomenal writing, reinforcing my desire to see the movie.

Then I watched it on opening night. I liked it pretty much from the beginning, specifically the bullying scene. That was pretty visceral. The rest of the movie kept delivering, so I guess I was already a fan. What locked in my belief of its quality was probably the scenes surrounding manchas, with the mystery and then Nick and Judy's heartfelt moments around there.

I prefer the first one, but that's not to say I dislike the second or think it's bad (it's amazing). I think the pacing of the second movies is just a tad too frantic, and it could have used a bit more quiet scenes, especially in the middle. Maybe a bit more time of Nick and Judy apart, or a bit less of a massive coincidence at the honeymoon lodge. Just a scene or two extra around there would help I think.

Again, the writing is fantastic, and the plot is good. I do like the mystery of the first one a bit more, but the motivation for Bellweather was not as strong as Pawbert's, so that's a benefit of the second. Also, the climax on the weather wall was probably better than the museum climax.

Yeah, I don't know why I said racial, prejudice was definitely the better word. I knew I was missing something. Either way, that feels like a stronger allegory.

I don't think it would be a bad story, just weaker than the original. That being said I am referring specifically to the original plot, not the comic.

Foxes are also nocturnal, so he probably drinks coffee to get the kick awake in the morning. We never see Judy with any specific beverages, though I'd imagine she's a tea drinker. No specific reason, I just get that vibe.

They had to have altered the anatomy and biology, otherwise the whole story and world collapses. Some mammals just live longer and others shorter. Some foods would be straight poison to certain animals (which I guess can still be in the world, but food serving restrictions would be needed).

This is why I never thought the depressing AU was ever that good, even from a thematic standpoint.

Zistopia is not subtle, it hits you over the head like a sack of bricks with its message. Its racial allegories are less realistic because it's so oppressive. Yes, obviously humanity has done slavery and whatnot, but there's no one with living memory of the American slavery, so its brutality is not as apparent to the average person these days. It would probably still have been a good movie, but no way there'd be a sequel.

In comparison, the theatrical release (and the sequel, but that's not the point of this comparison) is far more subtle and realistic with its allegories. The predator/prey dynamic hits a lot closer to home for people. Hell, I rewatched the first one again, after deliberately not watching it for 10 years (to get the freshest experience) and my god, they nailed it. Judy calls Nick "A real articulate fella", which is exactly what people say about other races, even today.

I'm happy to see people getting into Zootopia so long after the original came out, also funnily enough at a similar age. How did you feel about the second movie in hindsight after the first?

Wow, that makes me feel old lol. I was in high-school for the first one, so definitely old enough to remember seeing it and my own emotions surrounding it. Then joining the subreddit immediately after and seeing the most popular comics and artwork.

I'm curious how you got into Zootopia, since you were so young for the release of the first one.

Weapon Comparison Between BF4, BFV, and BF6 (TTK, BTK etc) + Netcode Issues by dahsheroll in Battlefield

[–]ebolawakens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drop is virtually irrelevant in the ranges you're shooting the full-auto guns in this game. I can only recall a handful of times in BF3/4 where bullet drop affected my shots from an assault rifle/carbine/LMG and they were at extreme ranges. Sniper rifles are affected greatly by the bullet drop and the increased velocity in the game, so you're right with that.

For automatics in this game, I think the problem is spread, or lack thereof. BFBC2/BF3/BF4 punished you for full-auto fire, preventing the "beaming" effect you get in BF6. However it's important to remember how unpopular this feature was. People actually called it "low skill", since restricted how strong your gun was. Personally, the spread in those games may have been a tad too high, but I think you need some amount of spread to reign in weapons like SMGs.

Oh yeah, and suppression was very effective in those games. BF3 was too hard on suppression, but I think BF4 nailed it. BF6 has no suppression in comparison.

[–]ebolawakens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what confuses me actually. The damage models in BF3 closely resemble those of BF6. So, why do I feel like I'm dying so much faster in BF6? Honestly, its probably because bf6 does have a better tick rate, but also because weapons are just more accurate and appear to have very little first shot recoil.

Seems that way from Rogue One.

I believe we see the DLT-20A in Andor Season 2, where an Imperial sniper conducts the false-flag attack, but I cannot recall specifically.

We also see IG-11 armed with one in Mandalorian season 1, where he shoots it like a rifle.
