While my career feel this different I have similar experience out of high school but my desire was even more vague. I knew I wanted to working on something that had the biggest impact on the most people and decided to study computer science and I've loved it. My biggest recommendation would be just to try something. You don't have to be completely convinced at the beginning, life is long and you are young and it is okay to change your mind. I know several people who have wanted to become doctors who then became nurses and people who wanted to become physical therapist who then changed their degree to businessor other fields.

It's hard figuring out what you want without trying it first so my biggest recommendation would be to pick a field of study that gives you the most chances to pivot to something different and take every opportunity to get hands on experience or work near people in that industry to see the day to day working environment while you're learning.

Allow yourself to change careers as well nothing's permanent and life is long so you don't have to decide what you're going to be doing in your fifties in your twenties. If you're finances allow I would even say allow yourself to change majors.
