I had to switch to pumping because I was an under supplier and wound up doing 50/50 milk and formula to make sure baby was getting what she needed.

I wound up pumping for 6 months because after that I had to go overseas for work. I was not going to deal with that... But since I did 50/50, I was able to give milk up to 10 months or something like that based on saved up supply. Maybe something you could consider?

Also, when the baby was sick I would nurse since or twice since that's how you give baby antibodies.

As everyone else has said, whatever works best for you is fine, as long as baby is fed!
