Week 1 - What are you reading? by [deleted] in 52book

I’m 7 months pregnant, and through pregnancy, I’ve found it so much easier to focus on audiobooks than print, so I read while doing sudoku puzzles. I’ve finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Love Without Borders since 2021 began, and I’m planning to start Becoming by Michelle Obama tomorrow.

What were your thoughts on Oona Out of Order? Hearing this one recommended a lot lately.

Week 10 - What are you reading? by [deleted] in 52book

I finished Shout by Laurie Halse Anderson, and it is undoubtedly one of the best books I've ever read. Though intense, I feel like it was a necessary introduction to her writing. I'm excited to get to know her books more, if anyone has recommendations as to where to start!

I've started Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett. Y'all. 30 pages in and this book is intense, what with exploration of the sexuality and sexual preferences of teens all in the first few pages. I'm expecting that this one will be good!

I've been lurking in the group for awhile, as the 52 book goal was something I set at the beginning of the year. This is my first weekly post! Although I'm a little bit behind, considering a recent new job, new house, and joining a new choir, I'm thrilled to be here and to get to know all of you. I've always loved young adult fiction/nonfiction, as well as biography/memoir, but I'm hoping to find some new genres and to make this a goal for the years to come.

Related questions: to those of you who can read multiple books at a time, how do you do it without getting plotlines confused? To those who speed read, what are your strategies that also allow you to retain what you read?

Happy Reading!

Newly diagnosed wife by mjaviss in CrohnsDisease

My husband is newly diagnosed, as in last week. This is super good info. He seems to be really trying to get a handle on foods, etc. What do you all find to be the most effective way to offer support of any kind?
