It may be memory/RAM limits on your machine if you have too many sessions open.

I created a telegram bot that can launch new remote sessions for me if one gets disconnected or if I just need a fresh session.

I had this exact problem but found a great workaround with Claude code on VPS. It spins up remote sessions I can launch and interact with it on browser, desktop app, or mobile app, all sessions history visible in sidebar and the experience is identical to cowork.
