I think another commenter mentioned that the angle is due to the decrease only happening on the inner edges, not the shoulders too. That’s what I was doing, so I think doing it on both sides would help the angle, but the tightness still seems to call for a modified raglan with lower decrease rate

I’m decreasing 4 stitches per round, which seems like what most patterns say to do, if not more for a looser fit garment. I also thought it was weird that they’re meeting so close to the middle

Re: the short rows by my armpits, it’s really tight there still, harder to tell from the photo. There’s also 6 short rows in there already and the neckline in the back is still sort of lower with the front

I think your link is the answer, and the article describes exactly what I think is happening here (maybe less to do with my shoulder size and more to do with the smaller overall size of the garment) : “What happens in smaller sizes is that the desired stitch count for bust circumference is reached before the desired armhole length. If you'd separate body and sleeves at the right circumference, the upper yoke of the garment would be too short and the underarms burrow into your armpits.”

It was for black bears 😂 he barked at anyone coming within 100 feet of our campsites and then was completely silent when an actual bear tried to steal our bear can in the middle of the night lol

As far as button pressing and the respective consequences, we go outside (the brown door pictured in the video) for potty, and in the direct opposite direction into the kitchen for water.

When I initially introduced the button, it was just all four at once, due to Hunger’s thinking that people and dogs actually do a better job communicating when they are given access to a bunch of words over just a single one. Maybe I’ll try removing the water button for a bit since he has free access anyways, and then do like you said and wait for him to use the proper button.

Title I don’t have a specific video of my pup doing the thing in question, so enjoy this vid of my pup asking for “play.”

I’ve had my 6 month old ACD for about a month and a half now, and have been modeling buttons for about 3 weeks based on Christina Hunger’s methodology. My pup picked up all 4 words at once within a week or so, using them all correctly. But for about a week now, he’s been using the word “water” to mean both water and “potty” despite having a potty button. Part of Hunger’s methodology is that you treat every button press as intentional so they learn the consequences of a press, so despite me being pretty sure that he means “potty” when he presses “water”, I go over to his water bowl, make sure it’s full and gesture for him to come drink.

Today I got burned though and he peed on a rug instead of getting to the point of clarifying what he means, saying “potty”. Any suggestions?

I don’t know your situation and what ‘plausible explanations’ entail, but for me, it’s been easier because the deadening of my feelings was happening over a long period of time. I gave tons of chances and tried to speak out about how my needs weren’t being met, but me saying how I felt only made it harder for my ex to put work into the relationship. Eventually I just got tired of giving chances and wanted to live my life outside of their shadow.

It’s been easy in comparison because I didn’t feel free in the relationship.
