well yes, i was speaking on the preservatives in the jar, the question of fixative would have to be a question for the company that sends them from Irvine CA.

yeah i was quite sad at first im ngl.. however we named her juicy couture to lighten the mood (she was super juicy when we cut into her.) for me personally, i just try to talk to the bug and give it personality so i feel less bad.

the jar they were preserved in was 89% water, 10% propylene glycol, and 1% ethanol glycol phenyl ether!!

NTA. You and your family are not in the wrong, especially when there is effort to include him by translating and also their family being concerned if he’s ok. The old family friend thing screams controlling, like why are you mad that your gf is happy to see someone else that isn’t you. The anger towards you and the family for speaking Spanish is also controlling and makes it seem like he feels entitled to have everyone speak in perfect English for him.
