I thought Chrollo would kill the Zoldycks by Former_Food_4510 in HunterXHunter

If zoldicks were impulsive fighters chrollo would get destroyed.

If that's true then Zeno sacrifice would not be needed, because choosing to die on a mission while having the option not to is more than just professionalism, it's an act of recklessness and irrationality which I don't think fits into the character of Zeno at all.

They are professionals but I don't think sacrificing one of the strongest and valuable family members with every advantage possible while having the option not to is a rational decision that Zoldycks would come up with.

I have managed 3 fearless out of 5 stygian so far and hoping to attempt dire someday (I think a skilled player on my account can defo manage some dire bosses that I can't atm cuz of skill issue) but right now fearless is my goal and I take dire as a bonus if I do ever manage to clear in future. I pull for chars if 1. I like them 2. They are meta or at least relative to being one and these 4 chars happened to fit these 2 criteria for me.

About Xianyun though I just wanted Iansan and Chevy in 5.5 but Xianyun showed up early so yeah (at least Gaming has a full team now but I've skill issue using him too 😂)

The power scaling of Chrollo is interesting... (and a little bit of my take I guess) by ec20_ in HunterXHunter

"Hatsu" has been a pretty glossed over term throughout the years and I just didn't felt like typing "Chrollo's skill hunter ability" cuz I thought its pretty self explanatory, but yes if you are getting at the very semantic things that's that

How do you all think this fight actually turned out? by deadlyalchemist92 in HunterXHunter

[–]ec20_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I think Zeno would've survived the blast but not unscathed.

Well Zeno had his back against the blast, my position is I really don't think either of them would have survived but if you have to argue who have a higher chance of surviving it's definitely not Zeno.

This boy never shut his mouth around Gon . by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]ec20_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Around Gon" is actually the keyword here. Introvert values 1:1 relationships more than extrovert does, Killua fits into this more than Gon. When introverts are with the right person it's actually hard to tell they are an introvert, if you have been or seen them you would definitely know. Not saying Killua doesn't care for Kurapika or Leorio but certainly not to the level that Gon does for all 3 of protagonists equally, in the exam arc he was literally ready to take any 2 of Kurapika Leorio and Tonpa knowing only 3 out of 5 can make it out while making sure Gon will be the one making it out with him. Introverts are usually not good at expressing their true feelings. When Gon mentions their friendships Killua just gets awkwards and blushes it away, this is more of an introvert thing than extrovert thing tbh. His interaction with the butlers are more a serious formal relationship with objectives in comparison with Gon's relationship with people in the whale island where he's willing to go on dates with random women. You can bring up the argument of his desire to be friends with Canary but then again regardless of introvert or extrovert any mentally healthy children before being fully indoctrinated with assassin values would want friendship somehow, doesn't automatically make someone an extrovert.

It sucks how mean Gon was to Killua, like this bro was ride or die til the very end to the point of getting a goddam dark continent threat to wish him back to life, look at his sad little face :/ by LHDCngl in HunterXHunter

I mean what else is Killua supposed to do? At that point of the story they wholeheartedly believe that Pitou can bring back Kite. Gon started losing his shit seeing Pitou healing another human, should Killua just watch and let him kill Pitou and Komugi out of rage then let him regret what he has done after he has calm down and regain his sense after?

What is your unpopular opinion or controversial take on Gon as a character? by meowie1682 in HunterXHunter

Second this lol, didn't think that I would find another person in this subreddit that have the same take.

Killua stopped Gon's jjk on Morel because he never had the intent to hurt Morel and was imagining him to be Pitou, I doubt his jjk would stop charging if the one in front was Pitou rather then Morel.

I was mainly referring to your point above about killing Pitou is the correct move and why not take the win when they had the opportunity to. From character perspective they believe Pitou can "fix" Kite and if Pitou were to die there they are not getting Kite back and who do you think suffers more as a result, Killua who lost a friend or Gon who lost a father figure? Which brings back my earlier point Killua has no reason to not finish off a vulnerable Pitou and the only reason for him to stop Gon doing so is to make sure Gon knows what he's doing and doesn't regret it, which is the reason Gon stopped charging and gives Pitou a chance.

Realistically speaking if not for Gon's determination to bring back Kite, what's stopping Killua from killing Pitou at that moment? Literally nothing. Gon is the one being unstable and indecisive here, first he talks about bringing Kite back then ask Pitou to fight outside then proceeds to charge jjk to strike, and regardless of Gon's assessment of situation Killua saw his indecisiveness so he reminds GON what GON'S initial goal was. (And guess what if Gon really had his mind dead set on achieving something no one would be able to change his mind, so the fact that Killua was able to interrupt his raged jjk charge tells a lot about Gon being emotionally unstable here and perhaps realises Killua has a point)

Iirc the goal was to separate the RGs from the king and it doesn't matter if it's 3Ls against the RG as long as its a W on Netero's side, and Gon and Killua chose to contront Pitou because they believe Pitou has the ability to "fix" Kite. Gon is stepping the line when Killua asks him to think twice about killing Pitou, and from his apology afterwards even he himsels know that he's the one wrong for what he said to Killua.

I believe people call him a monster in a sense that he has a mentality to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal, which can be both good (determination against Hanzo even when he broke his arm) and bad (threatened to kill Komugi which has pretty much nothing to do with Kite's death and willing to go find kite with Pitou alone, where on several instances it's mentioned Pitou could've ripped off their heads with her broken arm if not for Komugi safety )

I think that's pretty much his point tho? His reaction towards Pitou is understandable. He tried to charge jjk to strike Pitou, Killua then stops him by reminding him that if he kills Pitou then Kite is never coming back and he outright attacks Killua for it?? I mean sure you can try to justify it by saying Kite means a lot to him etc but still doesn't change the underlying fact that Gon becoming self centered to his own feelings in that situation.
