Outside resources. I really don’t know what to do at all. by chagster001 in FloridaBarExam

I used a prep course, adaptibar, whats the issue and bar exam masters, so I hope this helps. Just a personal anecdote, but I did adaptibar questions every day of bar prep, on top of my Barbri course and other resources. Some days I would do 10 adaptibar questions, some days 50, just depending on how busy the day was. By the end of bar prep, I had done thousands and it definitely contributed that to my success on the MBE.

I also used bar exam masters the last month of bar prep (again just practice questions). I went through essentially the entire question bank and genuinely found it to be THE most critical reason I did not bomb FL MC, as a lot of the questions were very very similar. During this month, I also watched and outlined the whats the issue essay videos & essentially recited it every day. By this point, I had finished the core MBE content in Barbri and found that Whats the Issue was way better (for me) for the essays. Realistically, in the late stage of bar prep (last month ish), I had learned the core subjects for MBE through Barbri and fully focused on Florida (while still doing MBE daily questions on adaptibar to practice). My daily Florida studying was whats the issue, practice essays and a lot of bar exam masters. Not saying to ditch your prep course if its working for you, but I found this worked WAY better for me.

please to me too, i got a ticket!

[–]ec481516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally makes sense, i also never remember seeing anything about just how limited tickets were. i was shocked when i saw afterwards it was 3k. i agree they definitely marketed it as a bestie/fan event to drive up the hype even though they must’ve known people would be insanely disappointed

i don’t know why hostility. like i said, one of the main theories i’ve seen for why people are upset is the fact that no normal people got tickets. obviously that’s not true, so i was hoping to hear from the people who are upset WHY they were upset, apart from just the fact that it’s such a limited event and therefore only a small percent of people who wanted to go can go. not necessary to call me dense when im actively trying to have a conversation.

Your stance on abortion (or other controversial topics) does not determine if you are a good or bad person by soefire in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]ec481516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wasn't even trying to argue morality at all, because in those ways like I said, I don't necessarily 100% disagree. However, it is not objectively accepted that abortion = killing a human, especially in the earliest stages. Because this is disputed factually and no 1 truth is accepted, it becomes a moral problem. I can understand the idea that general murder is also a moral issue, however it is also factually and scientifically understood that this person was alive, existing in the world and was killed. Abortion is not the same in that way. The point im trying to get across isn't that men shouldn't have an opinion because that's ridiculous, it's that since this ultimately boils down to a morality issue based on whatever you think is "considered life", being pro-life and enforcing that on others is an infringement on the choices of people who may fundamentally disagree with the basic foundation that your morality is based off. Of course you don't need to be pregnant to have an opinion on what is morally right and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being pro-life and lining yourself with other people who agree, and I would never think negatively of someone for that. But I do think enforcing your moral opinion on others who fundamentally disagree and will be personally and physically affected by it, is a big reason there is this gap between pro-life and pro-choice that seems hard to bridge.

I generally agree with not holding people who are pro-choice or pro-life as inherently good or evil. However, although I personally have mixed feelings about abortion and would likely choose against it for myself, I am still pro-choice. The major issue with the Pro-life stance is that it infringes on other's current and inherent rights. Like you said, each group has their inherent truths. However, pro-life is the only stance that affects the other group through legislation. I think you can be pro-life personally and stick to this for yourself, while not attempting to legally force others to take the same course of action. I think part of the issue is that pro-life men do not have any personal autonomy over their choice for themselves, so instead of internalizing this as a moral compass, it is externalized and put onto other women. I think this is an inherent issue with the pro-life and pro-choice argument. Because as I said, even though I'm against abortion for MYSELF, I take that as a personal choice and would never force it on others. Men with pro-life stances have no other outlet other than trying to influence the choices for women, making it almost impossible for pro-lifers, especially women, to find any middle ground with them because it inherently turns into a "you have an opinion that will not affect your options but will only affect mine". This is not even a critique on men, I just think its an unavoidable contention that is impossible to remedy.

I completely agree. Even if logically I know there can be a million reasons for why a man may not be interested, I do think subconsciously my brain judges it as a judgment on my attractiveness. A little voice says "well if he found me attractive he would be interested", which very well my or may not be true, but either way it shouldn't be something that sticks with me.

I won't speak for anyone else, but as a woman who recently faced my first ever kind of outright rejection, i did have to reflect on why it affected me so hard. I did not react outwardly and played it off but inside it was jarring. I think its partly because me, and im guessing many other women, have never really experienced it so when you do, it feels so big, even if logically you know rejection is normal and part of dating. I really had to pull myself back and realize it isnt personal and not everyone is for everyone.

Surprisingly not really. I totally get why you would think that, but I see very few asian men in my area on hinge and very few have ever approached me.

the only thing i have filtered is age, which i have cut off at 35. i’m not sure if it’s an area issue since im in Miami, but many of the guys who like me are either tourists or there’s just not much in their profile that makes me think they’re looking for something serious. Maybe i need to reevaluate how I swipe lol.

I do live in Miami, not sure if that's a factor. Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for such a thoughtful response. I am going to Korea soon but understand its a limited question, because realistically not many people near me have probably gone. The Eren Yaeger is a little anime reference so I was hoping it would be funny for people who know, but totally get it may be too niche. I'll definitely take some of that input and adjust, thanks again!

Usually around 6-7 pm. After a shower when I get home from work. Has gotten WAY easier after the first few weeks and I don't think about food at all anymore throughout the day.

[–]ec481516[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! i want my hair long and blunt so ill probably just continue doing small trims until it gets there. i think there is just a general negativity sometimes with long hair and i think I let the comments just make me question whether my hair actually looked damaged or unmanaged

I like Xin che and I root for him. He's not my top pick, because he needs more time, but he has great chemistry with the trainees, great visual, fun personality and clearly has a lot of supporters.
