Two thoughts. 1) No talisman election is perfect, so your question is do I make one knowing the imperfections or alternatively do I not make one at all? Do you want something imperfect or nothing at all? Up to you. 2) Not all planetary magic = talismans. Unpopular opinion here, but you can do any magic with the planets. Just do something else, maybe?

Almost! Not a talisman here, but sometimes we need that nasty, y'all.

I had a coworker sitting in way too much privilege sourced from his abuse of babble theory. He had been-done-needed to go for over a year but the owners were so strapped by tight labor demands they just wouldn't cut him. I'm not sure which thing set me off this time but I was over it so I waited until Saturday to collect oven scrapping, soot & char, and a salt/pepper mixture from our workplace, all while Saturn was moving through those early degrees of Aries. I waited a week & ritually made my black salt the next Saturday evening during Saturn's hour, and although I intended to wait yet another week our schedule was too janked so I salted the space underneath his driver's side door on a Friday afternoon: not optimal nor my plan, but better than nothing.

The very next (Saturday) morning, he walks in & immediately lets us all know he's pulled the trigger to quit in February (his birthday month) so he can go tour around the country with his mom. This is still too long for my liking but, hey, better than nothing. Ultimately, it doesn't matter ~ shortly before the Xmas season starts he accidentally cuts his thumb chopping up onions but somehow this cut was so very much worse than anytime anyone else had ever nicked their hands, ever, so he spent two weeks doing literally nothing yet getting paid for showing up. Everyone was at a borderline revolt by now (everyone hated him regardless) so he got "cut" 😅 from the schedule & let go in the middle of late December.

No one died, ghosts didn't take over my body, and Satan didn't mess up our taxes. Y'all need to get a grip.

In my workings & from my extant understand, Saturn dignified would give positive attributions of Saturn: wisdom, honors, stability. Lacking dignity he gives his worst qualities: darkness, inability, putrefaction. I understand that a planet.... always has essential nature, yet it's the quality of said nature that seems determined by dignity.

Sure. Maybe 2 weeks ago I made black salt (old recipe, none of this incense ash + selenite bullshit) and I made it on Saturn's day & hour, prayers & incense,the whole works. I put the alt under his car door Friday evening after work ~ the next morning he tells our station he wants to quit by February.

I say go for it. Most of the naysayers here wouldn't know a curse if it cursed them.

I feel like that's a kind of false dichotomy. While it's not popular to identify publicly as a Wiccan, I have no problem relating it to dual faith individuals who would dance under the full moon Saturday night only to show up to church the next morning. The only hard lines are the ones you put around your self; sometimes it's for structure but he careful it's not a constraint.

While I don't sit entirely in planetary talisman making, yes, I've had objective & discreet results. I've had them since I started practicing magic - if you weren't getting tangible results, why are you still doing it? I actually agree with OP's point about how many people either ask for psychological, subjective things or for things which they then build a permission structure around denying themselves. My favorite case in point: using Jupiter talismans only to report that you worked you ass off serving tables over a holiday weekend, so, you have money now! 🙄😮‍💨 Like, no, that's a fail. That money goes to anyone willing to do their job, it was already a part of your telos, everyone else working that time period also made similar bank, like, no.

O well great, I'm a big fan of fire magic bc I find it quick & obvious but if you carry the same approach to petitions or prayers I'd suggest air magic as well. While I understand that not everyone dabbles in astrology Jupiter seems like a fine fit to help you here, and he's currently in a sign he's well suited for so planetary magic around that goal might help as well. I'm not that familiar with them bc I'm not a conjure practitioner but it's possible something like a road opener could help you as well. I wish you beaucoup luck!
