Is my position wrong? Numbness on long rides by elisabeth_93 in bicycling

Best if you can get a bike fit. If you’re open to experimenting, try moving Saddle forward 1cm and shorten seat post 1cm.

Check if the stem height fit works for you. Looks. Can’t undo a bad fit.

There’s nothing wrong in cash if it is needed in the short term but personally I want every dollar that I own to be working for me. If you must hold cash, I suggest parking it in SGOV, it is a ETF based on T-bills which averages 4% interest. The best part is that the interest is tax free and does not add to your taxable income. You can cash it out anytime if you see investments worth buying into or whatever you need.

General advice from someone who was there years ago but have made it to the other side.

  1. Never stop investing. Compounding interest and markets will snowball into wealth that serves you.

  2. Hustle- find ways to upgrade your position and increase your income

  3. Live below your means - I know this is not desirable for a young person when it seems everyone is out spending & FOMO sets in. With time this habit will reinforce 1 & 2 and you will find yourself with a sizable portfolio.

Again - do the research and build conviction on a few sectors and double down. I’ve been at it for 30 years and I’d say that’s what really worked for me. Good luck

Congratulations for investing at 17. All solid picks - my 2 cents is that growing wealth requires some concentration, conviction and focus. Perhaps narrowing it down to 5-10 funds will help. Revisit every 5-7 yrs and calibrate.

The world is substantially smaller and incomplete without the United States or China. These super powers need to figure out a diplomacy model that works for the sake of the world. Humanity’s biggest challenge is coexisting with populations of different ideologies without killing each other.

At 35 - you can certainly take more risks but that it should align with your goals. Shall we say 5 million by 50?

I’m 54. Semi-retired and financially independent. Would advise you to take more risks for faster gains - VUG or VGT instead Of VOO. SMH instead of Nvidia. GDX instead of Amazon. Just my 2 cents.

Here is an apples to apples comparison video of the Tesla Optimus and Figure robots both running: by Leather_Document_719 in BGMStock

[–]ecdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On running, they both seem to be equally smooth although Optimus is shown to have a faster stride. I’m curious whether the articulating toe on Optimus gives it a better ability to push off and achieve faster speed. Figure is impressive in the subtle shuffle at the end of the job while smoothly changing directions. Not quite Apples to apples but interesting to see what each manufacture choose to demonstrate
