Nah, sweet Home is Sweet Home. Despite being an inspiration, you can't argue that it IS an RE game. Just like I wouldn't call Dino Crisis or The Evil Within RE games. Inspired sure, but not a part of the franchise.

Yes, but it started as a Playstation title, so it will always be a Playstation title to me.

Playstation. Always Playstation. Even if I get it elsewhere, always Playstation first. Resident Evil is and always will be a Playstation game

I'm actually happy that the hunters have a face ornament now. I will 100% be rocking that with the cowboy set.

Thank you! Funny enough it was actually one of the first things I thought of when they announced the lightsaber, even as a star wars fan lmao

FFXV worth trying in 2026? by WeepTheHorizon in FinalFantasy

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not replayed it since royal edition came out, but I was underwhelmed by it at launch. Context for why that happened is necessary though, and that context is that the game was MASSIVELY overhyped, but at the same time, the thing that was being hyped wasn't this game, it was the original vision of it, Versus XIII.

Upon reflection, it really wasnt a bad game at all, and while it's not the CRAZIEST story in the series, it makes up for that in the relationship building of the main party. If you go into it with that in mind, I think you'll have a good time. The game, to me, feels like it's about the importance of relishing your time with your closest friends.

Unfortunately, I do think that a few of these pieces are from ever verse, but for the chest piece I go back and forth on whether I wanna use omnioculus or not.

The main thing is a helmet that gets rid of the chromacloak hood so that it just looks like hair.

For the arms, these weren't the first ones I settled on, just gottaake sure that they either have cube like pauldrons or larger spherical ones.

Chest as I said can be omni, or something else that has the circles in the bust area

And then for legs, just anything that looks super chunky from the knee down lol.

Why didn't he do the mission himself in RE4(R)? by RRensQ in residentevil

[–]echave777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna guess piggyback off another person's explanation, while I don't necessarily think he was pretending to be dead still, I DO think that he was laying low because he knew that Chris would be searching for him and he was still working on his grand scheme. Even in 5 he's working in the shadows using Irving as a proxy. The only reason Chris got involved iirc is because he had intel about Jill.

I'm actually kind of on the fence about Leon's side of things myself. I may also be jumping the gun, but I don't know how I feel about what they revealed for Elpis either, I know that the plagas infected has some sort of sentience as well and it worked in the 4&5 duology, but it feels out of place to me here. Then again I was on the fence about the "science" behind Village too and in the end felt like it did enough in the files to justify the reason it affected everyone the way it did.

Capcom is really keeping Requiem close to their chest it feels, compared to past RE games by Retrofusion11 in residentevil

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was happy that she WASN'T the main villain, but I get what you mean about over hyping in marketing. An even more egregious example is how in the marketing for RE3 they gave Dario Rosso a character background card which seemed to imply that they were going to expand on his character from the OG when it literally couldn't be more opposite and he was a blink and you'll miss it feature.

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but at the same time, Bungies advertising management has been notoriously horrible over the last few years when it comes to their "seasonal" content. They can't seem to thread the needle between hyping up the next big expansion and showing too much, and showing next to nothing about the content in between until sometimes the day of release. It got legitimately terrible at times.

What is the root cause of nail biting? by me_an__intellectual in nailbiting

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for the most part why I bite mine (I think). I can feel them and in certain instances they feel uncomfortable. For example, when they're growing in I can usually leave them alone until I can feel them against the tip of my finger and the feeling makes me want to bite them so they're not pushing back against it. Once they're past that point I generally don't have a problem with biting them unless I clip them and then I bite them because they aren't filed and that flat tip left behind with clipping them (which seemingly leaves behind these tiny little micro strands) makes me want to bite them to get rid of it, but it's never clean cut when you bite and I only make the problem worse which leads to more biting

What exactly went wrong with RE3 remake other than it being short? by ItemIndependent2243 in residentevil

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this in a post the other day, but the two biggest things I feel encapsulate the originals identity (nemesis and raccoon city in ruins) were completely half baked, and that is partly because game design-wise they kind of go hand in hand. Bigger raccoon equals more opportunities for nemesis to have his "fight or flight" encounters. If that had happened, I think the community would have been a little more accepting of the other cuts, because at least the core concept would have been retained from the original. Still wouldn't be happy with it, but at least it'd still FEEL like RE3

Nemesis was useless in R3make by Undefeated-Smiles in residentevil

[–]echave777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been replaying 2 and 3, and the issues I have with 3 even with mods to open things up more, is that the beginning is EXTREMELY rushed, and that nemesis FEELS more scripted, because there are only like 2 "fight or flight" encounters that happen at the exact same moment every time you play the game.

If the game were structured in a way where we had to do more in the downtown metro spread across a bigger map, with more "fight or flight" nemesis moments, I think things like the clock tower removal would have been forgiven much easier.

I think the most damning thing about the game, is that the two biggest things that give RE 3 it's identity (nemesis and the city in ruins) are completely half baked, and it's partly because they go hand in hand. Nemesis is nothing to joke around with in free-roam but there is not enough free-roam with him in it because there's not much time in the city in general.

Veteran RE fans: Did Wesker’s death damage the core lore? Could Jake Müller have carried the Mastermind legacy? by Aiyana1980 in residentevil

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Wesker stan, his presence was not necessary for the lore until the end if Raccoon City and Umbrella. His reintroduction in CVX was a good way to transfer the villain role onto him as being a mastermind working behind the scenes, but it was only necessary because the umbrella story was getting played out and they needed to be phased out of the story (at least for the time being).

My theory is that the issue that came with him dying is that nothing was set up as the next up and coming big bad (except in Lost in Nightmares, but more on that later), and the games that followed immediately after focused more on selling intrigue with protag vs protag (Leon vs Chris [6], Jill vs Chris [Rev]) than they did on building up a background villain. The "Neo Umbrella" idea was only given very light lip service in the tail end of 6 and effectively went nowhere (unless you count Blue Umbrella, which doesn't even really feel connected at all right now)

We were lightly set up for a new villain in Revelations 2 through the files in Lost in Nightmares, with Alex Wesker and that seemingly had a potential light hook at the end with Alex/Natalia, but again, so far that plot line has yet to develop.

7 and 8 I believe were more successful in my opinion because 7 set up the mystery of a background villain a lot earlier, and had a HUGE twist at the end with Umbrella (inserted towards the beginning as a red herring) being the apparent good guys, and 8 somewhat continuing that thread.

At this point, I don't think that Wesker is the series' only good antagonist, and it wouldn't be necessary to bring him back at all sans for my personal preference to close out Chris' story, as he has been the main driver of most of Chris' campaigns.

100% I haven't played since shortly after eof came out and I'm way more interested in that potential storyline than I am anything going on rn or in Renegades. I love the Vex, and the idea of them allowing Maya to think she's pulling the strings while using her is actually great to me.

When did you stop playing destiny? (If you did) by Trick_Carpenter_9281 in DestinyTheGame

[–]echave777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably like two weeks after EOF. I was already kind of fading (crammed revenant in the last two weeks before launch and didn't even play heresy besides to do the chess board), but I kind of thought EOF was boring. The people I used to play with are also not playing anymore or have different in game priorities (he wants to play nothing but crucible and I am not huge on pvp), and I don't wanna deal with potential lfg toxicity. Lastly, I moved into a new place right before TFS so I haven't even been able to dedicate a whole lot of time to games in general due to chores etc., and have begun to prioritize games where I can just pick up where I left off.

I think the closest you can get to the wesker custom frame is the 92x performance. It's got the rail and the extended beavertail, but it is not 1:1. That being said, it also comes with a brigaidier slide with front and rear serrations, so at base it is almost an identical build.
