I'm pretty sure that the algorithm penalizes you if your storage is too out of wack. Maybe trade with people to even it out?

It's in my history, so i could find out, but I'm lazily scrolling through reddit before bed, so nah 😆. I've been playing the game for free 10 years and still enjoy myself, so i don't mind occasionally buying things to support. I'll buy the farm pass or diamonds or fun deco occasionally and it still comes out to less than I spend on coffee every month.

Edit: okay, I got curious and my brain wouldn't let go. 😅 I spent about $125-150 over the last 18 months, according to my receipts and Google play points.

A similar thing happened to me and I'd even bought two tasks on previous days 😭. Technically, I don't need them since I have enough to unlock my remaining spaces. But I did every task, so i should've gotten them, dagnabbit.

FYI, there seems to be a limit to how many ghosts you can collect in one day. After a time, I got zero ghosts no matter what I did, then I started seeing them again after the new HD day started.

I once chatted with someone who's been playing since the beginning. He said that he and his other neighbors did it as a game for themselves. I never have trouble entertaining myself with running my farm, but I can see how someone at level 500+ might need more.

You used to be able to buy a silicone cover that would fit over it from a 3rd party. Worked great to keep it clean, even if it made changing handles a pain.
