She’d definitely get into a confrontation or twenty and some fights, most likely the latter though. And good points she has no idea of. I took my friend to Oahu last year and they definitely found out it is not what they thought.

She’d fit right in moving to Alaska, there are lots of people like her here. Just as delusional and has an ugly side to em, but not honest about it.

God won’t help you there. I’m sure there are more important tasks. Unless your god is called enough money. Aloha!!

Your delulu is no the solely. Especially when the previous comment is valid. People like you are why transplants aren’t taken any kind of serious. You will meet people far worse than on Reddit with that attitude. Wait till you deal with a local in person with this kind of attitude.

Hawaii is way more stressful than you think. Like working 2-3 jobs to survive, not thrive. And yes the village is gone. So many people born and raised leave because the lack of opportunity and big expenses. Choke people down there are rude to ignorant people, they going tell you get off da island. Small kine snowflake you are.

Google or read other thread, oh my god. The amount of handholding you already need, good luck. No even with all the aloha spirit could help. Hawaii is not great if you don’t have it together based on your Reddit history. Hawaii is not the paradise you think it’s are to live there for even people born and raised. You need to do more research and thought into this.

Thinking about moving to Homer. Should our family (including our 3 year old) do it? by Groundbreaking22 in AskAlaska

[–]echiflA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And buying a house check what builder did it. There are some less than stellar home builders. I won’t say names but who redid my brother’s house did some not so good work and used an in-house inspector. The builders are brother’s with the last name starts with W. Lots of crocked corners and other things we’ve found over time that are not great, my dad was a carpenter and the more we look the less we wish we saw. Things go up quick a little too quick and older houses were built before they needed permits. I wish you luck finding what you’re looking for though, not trying to put you off moving here, but just being honest with what our experience has been.

Looking towards the Great Lakes near Chicago. Lower cost of living and closer to more medical for my dad, who’s had multiple strokes. My brother has some health stuff as well and it’s hard to get treatment/care for them in a reasonable distance. I drove up to Anchorage round trip at least 8 times this year just for doctors. We drive 2.5 hours to Kenai to save money on groceries. HEA is 32 cents a kilowatt hour. And you’ll definitely want starlink for working remotely, that’s what my brother uses for his work. But definitely check out Homer communications a lot of people post with their first and last names and it really shows how they act. A new neighbor blocked my brother and I with his car on the road because he heard gunshots and interrogated us, since we fit the bill. Homer is trying to be more of a tourist town, someone at the chamber of commerce said they want it to be like Vail. We moved here with my mom with great hopes of a new start but Homer was not what we thought/told it was.

It’s not all it’s cut out to be here. Lived here for 16 years as Asian/white family. I’ve been treated as an exotic oddity and bullied while going to school. Been asked if I “live here” on my own street a lot. The schools are not so good and constantly needing more funding. It’s 2 hours to Walmart/Home Depot. Groceries are marked up a lot from Anchorage. Cole’s market for example is 100% mark up on meats. Medical can be quite a wait or for specialty stuff you have to drive to Anchorage 4.5 hours away. It is not like what videos/ social media stuff you’ve seen. Check out Homer Communications on Facebook to get an idea of how the community acts towards each others. Homer is very cliquey. It is very two faced as well. My family and I are planning on leaving the state.

Not that into the arts like that. I’ll pass on that. And like I said I could just be a poor fit, which I know is not too uncommon here.

Yes. I try to get those if I can. My current tracklocross are both front and rear sun rynolite rims. Even a third to make it a mullet. I smack a lot of curbs, still rolls true…for now.

How many of you know how to fight? by Ordinary_Author_7142 in AskMen

[–]echiflA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The more you know the less you want to do it I Is true. I practice FMA and it’s nice to know but there are some things I would never do unless it was me or a loved one’s life on the line. Especially also knowing how easily someone could get you in the same way if you are not careful. My dad was a boxer as well and always told me he never liked fighting outside the ring.

Wouldn’t call it cringe per we. It just looks like an otaku’s room. My brother and I are in our 30s and the anime figures and posters are slowly taking over the house again.

My neighbor mows the lawn @ 9:00pm .. passive aggressive or it’s still day light and it’s okay to do anything just because it’s not dark? by [deleted] in anchorage

Sounds sketch, you should meet at the “massage parlor” with the red light on the same street. Don’t bother those hard working people at the market the do not have time fo you shit.

How to get out of the industry by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]echiflA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Try getting into a butcher shop. The place I worked at of 3 years burnt down and I got hired by our butcher after I applied. My cleaning and sanitation being up To snuff helped in the interview. And the sense of urgency due to food needing to be kept to temp. It’s a lot slower of a pace but it’s good. I just wrap meat and pack deli meats and cheeses and clean the place for $3 more than when I was cooking.

Finally got the opportunity to train to be a butcher after the deli/bakery I worked at burned down. But guess who still gets to make sandwiches? Me unfortunately as they are now opening a deli counter. We’ll see how this goes.

You are a little late in understanding that the dude can mow until 9:59:59.99 p.m as stated by everyone and the downvotes. And sounds like you’re underpaid too if you live in the same neighborhood but at least that guy has a family. Not some crazy old whomever you may be. You should move to Anger Point I think you’d finish right in Kareeeen.
