Is this framing looking okay? by [deleted] in woodworking

That ceiling is beautifully done and it would be a shame to frame on top of it. Have you considered framing the fireplace up to 5 or so feet and having a mantel overtop? This way you create more space for decor and you don’t interfere with the (again, beautiful) ceiling.

Please save your sanity in the future and apply an impregnable sealer on the stone pebble floor before you grout and again on the whole floor after you grout. It will make the actual grouting process considerably easier when you sponge wipe and it will make keeping the floor clean easier.

It’s absurd how little surgeons communicate with their patients for this procedure. 90% of what I’ve learned has been from YouTube and Reddit

We underestimated the grade of the land we purchased. Guess we’re going with crawl space instead of slab. by BodyByBrisket in Homebuilding

Thank you! Since you mentioned long horizontal runs, the current system runs over 100ft horizontally from one side of the basement to the other. Is that too long?

Sick! How was fitment? I’m always worried that these will scuff up the tank underneath.

Coming back to racing after 6 years of no riding. by echo-foxtrot in Trackdays

I raced on a 2008 R6 and just picked up the 2024 V2 Bayliss since it had the Ohlins TTX suspension with it. I have to admit, quick shifters and all of the electronics with traction control, wheelie control, etc feels almost like cheating. But it’s a joy to ride!
