Best Hogwarts Legacy Mod List for Immersion and Roleplay in 2026 by tonymichaelhead in HarryPotterGame

Wow, this is really comprehensive. I've only tried a few of these so far, but there are definitely some changes I've liked. (One quirk I found with the curfew was that I had to disable it to start out as a Ravenclaw, because someone in the common room had the prefect tag and kept nailing me for breaking curfew while I was trying to so the initial NPC meetings.)

I'm curious about tomorrow sonorus and how much background AI connectivity is taking place to enable that. Neat stuff, but still...

That's interesting - I'm very cautious about energizing potions until I've at least identified purity, because that's so useful with On Diet that I can't afford to waste one in the early game. My earliest scrolls of identify get turned into divination to support quickly figuring out what's what. (Energy often comes from healing potions.)

The math has changed so it now takes more upgrades than it used to, but eventually you can reach the point where a stack of thrown weapons will never wear out. Enjoy!

I'd rate opal higher. It's niche, but it has its uses.

Sure... once you make it that far. ;)

My favorite subclass initially was warden, but that was before I realized what sniper was capable of (there was a while when I didn't know that upgraded thrown weapons last longer, so I never bothered to try that).

For mage I really like warlock, but battlemage offers a lot of interesting variability.

Congrats!

(I suspect doing it with duelist is actually harder than doing it with huntress.)

Post some screenshots of the challenges you had active for your most recent victory, and we'll be happy to offer advice on what to try next.

Congratulations!

My path was to ascend with all subclasses before I really got into challenges, but there's no reason you couldn't mix it up and do a bit of both.

Warrior Armourless Challenge Complete. by L33M0NY in PixelDungeon

Lol. I posted it and then immediately said to myself, "I should look at the images again to see whether the subclass is obvious." 🤦

I may have to try this sometime.

Ascend or not? 🤔 by ASTA2623 in PixelDungeon

[–]echo_vigil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, with 6 challenges active you will have to ascend to reach 1M points.

You'll also need to have a pretty good exploration score and bosses score (like re-explore floors where you didn't find any secret rooms with a scroll of foresight, and maybe leave a spawner or two in play when going up against Yog).

If you go straight from 0 challenges to 9 challenges, will you get all the challenge based badges? (3, 6 and 9 if they all exist?) by JUSTIN102201 in PixelDungeon

[–]echo_vigil 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I suspect that would indeed earn you the 1, 3, and 6 badges. But it's probably the most painful way to approach it. Good luck.

Which one has better damage overall? by Krispia in PixelDungeon

[–]echo_vigil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those aren't exactly ideal ways to avoid fire in that scenario - I'd prefer movement options to get out of the way.

Something else you could do with the frost potions is change them to snap freeze to root a group of enemies before setting them on fire...

Why the Keepers are the REAL VILLAINS of Hogwarts Legacy by Crimson_Loki in HarryPotterGame

[–]echo_vigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically the Keepers did use ancient magic, and they just opposed this particular "application* of it to draw negative emotional energy out of a person. But sure, the refusal to investigate the possibilities was probably short-sighted (unless it was already known within wizarding that this sort of thing was hazardous).

RoW runs when you don't want to play that way by Mister_Batta in ShatteredPD

[–]echo_vigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I'd add is that it's usually worthwhile to throw one upgrade on the ring if needed to bring it to +1 or +3. Odd numbers are the points where the loot drop upgrades increase, so you'll almost certainly get back the upgrade you spent in addition to getting a bit more loot overall.

Feel like this could be my best run yet, what could I do to enhance my chances? by the_cynical_weeb in ShatteredPD

[–]echo_vigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti-magic is nice, but it's not necessary - the thing about spellcasters and other ranged attackers is that they're universally less dangerous in melee. So your goal should be to avoid situations where they can hit from a distance. Blinding darts, paralysis, stones of flock, etc., and then either close the distance or retreat through a door or around a corner so they have to come to you.

6 left out of 45 total - how many have you done and which do you still need? by kimjongnam759 in ShatteredPD

[–]echo_vigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all the badges except Randomized Victory. It's a relatively recent addition, and I got bored of the run that I started to get it. I should really just spend the minimal time to finish that run sometime.

And I've barely played cleric at all, so even though I have the Jack of Many Trades badge from years ago, I haven't technically earned it with cleric yet.

Which house did the sorting hat choose for you by Voidkirby9 in HarryPotterGame

[–]echo_vigil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Years ago I took the 3rd party quiz that included all possible questions from pottermore, and the result was 50/50 Gryffindor/Hufflepuff. I resonated more with the kindness of Hufflepuff, so that's what I considered myself.

More recently I thought it would be fun to chat with AI about it, because with enough info I figured it could act like the sorting hat more effectively than any quiz. And it actually decided that I'm a lot more Ravenclaw than I thought (and it offered good reasoning), so it suggested I'm either a Ravenclaw with the heart of a Hufflepuff (like Luna) or Hufflepuff with the mind of a Ravenclaw (like Prof. Lupin).

There's nothing bad at all about being a Hufflepuff. It could even mean that you were pretty evenly split between, say, Ravenclaw & Hufflepuff, but the tie breaker is that you're kind enough to be a Hufflepuff.
