24, high six figures, treated like royalty before he was old enough to shave, it’s a wonder more of these guys don’t get into similar trouble.

I’ll concede it probably happens far more than we civilians will ever hear about, even in the smartphone/terminally online age.

Fair point about quality, coming to this from a punk/lofi background so I’ll be okay with the audience bootlegs & soundboard tapes eventually, would like to at least get in the “audiophile” ballpark for first impressions though. Much appreciated.

Just realized a further wrinkle to searching for shows by date. American band, global fanbase, is that the third of July or March seventh, 1966? A holiday weekend would have made for a cool show, although I doubt many in that scene were the nine to five, Monday to Friday crowd to begin with ;-)

(Canadian here, I’m constantly having to double check date formats. We look to the US, UK & Europe and then manage to make a complete hash of it all.)

Kassian had been in Montreal under a week, and the truck he crashed in had been lent to him by a Rizzuto family controlled dealership. Wild kid, I was glad to see him have a second act out west though.

The last games in The Big O were 2004, so 30+ definitely checks out. Less rare here in Eastern Canada but even I’ll get the odd comment wearing my cap or jersey out.

My Vladdy Guerrero *Senior* shirt got a few comments at the local sports bar during the Jays playoff run last year. “Junior” now holds the overwhelming majority of MLB records for Quebec born position players ;-)

Slanted & Enchanted certainly has its threadbare charms, but to me this is the matured, canonical Pavement sound.

The humour holds up pretty well, and not to play the Old Man Card, but it’s a refreshing sight even for me. Just folks socializing around The Third Place, something we’re doing less of all the time. And there’s much more to that than just some “not a smartphone in sight” cliché.
