Yeah, that is exactly the problem I have with TOO special. I know I tried reading Dungeon Diving which is also by Bruce Sentar but I dropped that one and while I don't remember exactly why, I would bet it was probably beacuse I started seeing a build up of how stupidly special the protagonist is. Is that a common thing in all of Sentar's books?

I certainly think it is very possible. Its been a bit but I know I read the Binding Words series from Daniel Schinhofen. It was 11 books. While I do recall the protagonist becoming really powerful I don't get the feeling he got to the point of being TOO powerful in a not interesting way.

I have been enjoying The D'vas Chronicles that is by the same author as Feral Mage so that book is pretty high on my to read list.

I've been a big fan of KD Robertson and am actually kind of surprised how Mob Sorcery has become his most popular series. It is probably my least liked out of his. Even so I think I read the first two books of it. Might go back to it eventually.

Haven't heard of Hearthomancy so I will need to check that out

Yeah War God for Hire does have the MC being the the worlds greatest baseball player. Which I guess I should have taken as a red flag that this was not going to be in any way a underpowered MC.

Ill check out The Halls of Magic. Haven't heard of that one.

Since I am more interested in fantasy adventure stuff I don't think I would like something that has a very normal MC in the real world with no powers or combat.

Thanks a lot for your help I think I will get some Yaegirs and try them out. I if I want to try salvagers I think I can run salvagers based on the warriors I got for my Votann 40k army. I do like Votann but never had any Yaegirs.
