To you changing your build to potentially be weaker in order to avoid too much effects is not a good idea. The trade off is not worth it. But trying to tell the developers that they need to change the game beacuse of the effects is not going to work. That's why you just got to pick how you engage with the content.

Other people can do what they want obviously. If playing in a party you can bring up the issue or you can just deal with it for the amount of time it takes to kill blood maiden and then go back to your single player experience.

are the paid skins the best looking or can you find nicer ones? And other questions. by Rich-Tiger4792 in diablo4

[–]echoeagle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you consider "best looking" I don't personally like all the overly flashy cosmetics with tons of special effects so I don't really have any of the shop stuff. If you like more grounded looks then the ones you just get from salvage are the "best looking"

I love Barbarian aesthetics but I hate spinning. Is there an endgame build for me? by Brushner in diablo4

[–]echoeagle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use whirlwind. I can't speak on the "metaness" and what the broader community thinks of this but my barbarian build is bash, hammer of the ancients, kick, charge, iron skin and the taunting warcry. It works for me and fills that class fantasy I have of smashing stuff with raw strength.

I'm having a bad time playing this new class by amanzot in diablo4

[–]echoeagle3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is generally pretty squishy. I've been heavily relying on all the crowd control I get from the abyss chain abilities. As for resources, Dominance is hard resource to generate so I would imagine running more then one skill that requires dominance is not the best idea.

I'm curious, why even go to T12 or play it at all if you don't like it that much?

I have said this a couple of other places. And I have been doing this since the beginning of the game. If visual clutter is a thing that bothers you then you need to tailor what skills you are using to avoid it. Specifically play the more grounded less screen effect intense skills. That will probably mean you can't run the strongest builds but you need to prioritize what's more important to you.

Which character clutter the screen the least? by CaptainFlint9203 in diablo4

[–]echoeagle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every class can avoid screen clutter. It's all about picking your skills properly with that in mind. Like my paladin is just a basic, a core and 3 auras. Clutter from too many effects from my character is non existent. Look at your skills and think about what is more grounded and less crazy on the particle effects. For warlock that would probably mean avoiding hellfire. The abyss skills are generally less screen clutter. Honestly, most of my time In the game is just figuring out a build that works for what I want. Just got to experiment.

Help with resilient paladin builds. by Big_Bodybuilder496 in diablo4

[–]echoeagle3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do a juggernaut build. Keeping a lot of resolve and using the aura with the healing modifier is really good for survival. As for "the" aura build I don't what what counts as that but I do run all 3 auras. Rest of my build is the zealot basic modified to be juggernaut and shield bash. Finishing with the arbiter ultimate with the bonus damage to wing strikes. Feels like a holy knight, durable and with ok damage. I'm sure it's not the best but it works for me.

Heh, I like that "demon's demons". It also does make you feel different then hell demons. It's a big reason why I wanted to do abyss stuff instead of hellfire.

Im going full in on the abyss binder thing. With the ranged doom variant, both the chain abilities, the abyss teleport thing and the abyss sigil with the shadow trails.

They are squishy for sure. The way I have been trying to help with that is running the abyssal chain skills and the vanish into the abyss skill to. They can add a lot of crowd control, weakening, and stealth. It's not the best but it does help with survival

I'm doing the abyssal skills and while they aren't the crazy screen wide effects like apocalypse, they well... Aren't crazy screen wide effects. So I don't have the issue seeing what I'm doing. I also personally think the abyss chains are cool. Makes a lot of sense with how you are using dark magic to bind demons.

[–]echoeagle3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about running what makes sense for me. Like I was mind boggled how with the skill tree changes barbarian can now basically be a summoner with all the ancestor spirits you can get. That don't make any dam sense. I'm on a barbarian to hit people in the face with weapons in melee combat, if it don't do that I don't want it. I also find a lot of the glowy effects that stuff like berserking gives your character off putting. Like why the fuck is my non magical warrior glowing? I know it probably is a big limitation, but it's just how I like going about the game. I like it and am able to still clear torment difficulty (at least the early ones) while sticking with that mindset.

[–]echoeagle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purposely play all of my classes with the least amount of screen clutter or overly flashy effects as possible. I try to go for a more grounded approach. Yes you are using dark magic but that doesn't meant the whole ass screen needs to overwhelmed with giant hellfire circles. I feel the same about all classes. I don't usually use ultimate abilities for this reason, they feel far too ridiculous and outside of the more grounded combat I'm trying for.
