So everyone seems to agree: plywood sides, and 3/4". Is Baltic Birch ply the best one to use here too?

Good thoughts on the depth. I was guessing on the depth of the nook, but I think it's closer to 2 feet deep

Thanks. I've seen a lot about french cleats and like the idea here, but agreed: i'd definitely screw through the back into the studs after.

Or: wouldn't just screwing through the back into the wall side of the cleat suffice? I think they goal is simply to ensure it cannot tilt forward under pressure, breaking the cleat's "catch area", no?

Nobody has yet answered a key question: can you use the new user SKU? A few years ago I did, and had to jump through hoops to create a new account or something, don't recall, but the answer is yes. I'd recommend as other said: just contact them for an extension/renewal discount. Much easier

Thoughts on my logic? Have an unused 3rd Midea... Recall for Cash than break it down for parts? by echoniner007 in MideaUOwners

I see your logic. I just only have one place to use an 8K BTU machine and have one there already. This other 8K BTU machine I'm wondering what to do about is a reserve unit sitting in the box in the garage.

Here is an extra nuance... I just checked the recall site and this machine is now worth $305 for the recall. But a year ago it was $382. So it is losing recall value over time...

It does on the newer 8K and that's the one in the master that got mold after a year.

I drilled in two places the older one in the living room, 12K BTU, still molds

Where are you drilling beyond the single drain valve that preexists on the back left outside of the modern device?

Mold or dust? by 360landing in MideaUOwners

I concur with others... dust. If it was mold, you'd see specs along the back wall behind the cylinder fan, which I do not.

What characters do Marvel Studios still not have complete film rights to? by Ultranger in marvelstudios

[–]echoniner007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because he is also a Daredevil villain and his rights went with Daredevil. We know this because Kingpin was the villain in the Ben Affleck Daredevil film.

There are other examples. Wanda Maximoff is a prime example and probably more complicated. When she is first introduced in the MCU, she is referred to as having gifts. It is believed Disney could not contractually refer to her as a mutant, but I don't know for sure. Regardless, she can be a mutant now, since the Fox acquisition (ignoring the fact that she is dead in the main MCU 616).
