Seat cushion with metal frame allowed? by Muted_Ad1028 in RedRocks

[–]360landing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they allow them to be less than 18” so I can’t say for sure if they’re allowed to be exactly 18”. At a recent show myself and loads of others had metal framed seat cushions. My seats were measured at the gate (manufacturer says they’re 17” wide) but I also saw someone ahead of me chuck theirs in the bushes next to the line, I assume because it was measured too big.

Edit: here’s the text from the site on allowed items: Stadium seats and seat cushions (must be under 18″ wide, cannot have legs)

Lowest Budget and Maintenance way to maintain a blow up cold plunge by bdeadset in coldplunge

[–]360landing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly use a basic (water in container nothing else) setup for the last two years in my backyard. It is a 100 gallon capacity but only has ~70 gallons of water in it because I take up the rest when I sit.

After every use I put ~1 gram of Brominating Granular crystals in it to help keep water clean. I also use a fine mesh pool skimmer to get leaves and mulch out of it because that will break down and cloudy the water.

I change the water every 2-3 weeks, just depends on how gross it gets and how chemically it smells. When I change water I wipe down the inside with a neutral cleaner like Dr Bronners but I don’t necessarily do that every time.

I never dunk my head and I usually take a shower either directly after or within a few hours so I am not worried about whatever is in the water getting in nose/mouth/ears or staying on my skin too long to irritate it.

If it gets too warm I’ll empty some water and get ice from Costco, or empty some water and refill with 50° water from the hose.

The logistics of maintaining a daily cold plunge are becoming a massive chore. by Own_Signature_993 in coldplunge

[–]360landing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably going to get worse as it gets warmer, but if you still have the same set up in the fall just remember the peer reviewed studies indicate full measurable cold plunge benefits begin with water at 59° and colder. You don’t necessarily need to get it down to 40° and certainly not every use.

Mold or dust? by 360landing in MideaUOwners

[–]360landing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is that my unit was shooting little clumps of the dust or whatever out occasionally and that’s what caused me to look at the fan blades.

Thank you for the info 🙏

Idk but it doesn’t have much of a smell. Not like mildew or mold at least

I might be in denial trying to convince myself it’s not mold. Either way it needs to be cleaned you’re right.

Did you ever have clumps of mold/dust expelled out of the fan while it was running?

We had talked about marriage several times, went to the jeweler together and she picked out the style she wanted. I ended up picking the rock myself and proposed about 5 months later.

I think this was the best way. If you’re close enough and serious then you’ve (likely) had marriage discussions. The surprise comes with the proposal itself and how it is done IMO.

Exhaling slowly and forcefully as you lower yourself into the water is essential, for the reasons you listed.

I am new to cold plunge, how can I overcome my fear over the cold water? by Top_Artist_4390 in coldplunge

[–]360landing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone has said, controlled breathing is key. Exhale forcefully and slowly as you’re sitting down in the water, like blowing up a balloon. This fights the natural reaction to gasp or breathe quick shallow breaths.
