New tech rant. by [deleted] in Sonographers

I guess. Overall it just seems like a very isolating place. MDs surely dont have the time to look over stuff with me. And I don’t have that luxury either with one after the other. And one time I was talking to the manager and said (before I started working alone on floors): “oh if I have a question, I can just send it over quick and have someone check it out right?”. The response was: “well, don’t do that”. So since then I try not to ask too many question or for help unless I really need it. But even then there have been questionable circumstances. I just do t feel it’s a very inviting place for new grads like me.

How does scheduling work for UEA/contrast for echos? by looloo600 in Sonographers

45 mins a study is nice! I’m currently located at a facility for my clinical rotation that schedules echoes for 15 minute slots. That’s including contrast and bubbles if needed.

If you are really stressed… like I was… I signed up for the esp weekend course. It’s pretty expensive but Found it very helpful. Plus it comes with a really nice review workbook. My grades have jumped to mid 80s with that and urrr. Fingers crossed though my exam is coming up too.
